The Cruise (poem)
The lovers kissed before they took to sail
They knew their end but didn’t know the way
And when it comes they’ll think about the day
And all the memories upon the trail
-
They put their trust in love upon display
And trusted gentle breezes would prevail
For after all theirs was a special tale
That chose to take a cruise into dismay
-
For as they sailed they met the harshest sea
Then came the days and nights of bitter rain
The rifts cut into hearts are hard to mend
-
Yet with each calm together they would be
A kiss and smile made shadows of their pain
And memories would see them through the end
