The House (poem)
Each night the sounds of Joy would fill the air
From house whose warmth filled neighborhood with pride
So great a love was living there inside
That every satin dream would start from there
-
Though music’s laughter traveled far and wide
So sweet the sound it filled each heart with care
Each dance of love the neighbors gladly share
Each night’s delight the starry eyed applied
-
Yet all the while none knew who called house home
They searched but got no answer to their calls
They claimed access but nothing did they find
-
Amiss has set a riddle loose to roam
But there within the stillness of the walls
Where memories two lovers left behind
