The Promise of Tomorrow (poem)
Oh take the moon we do not need its glow
What use are stars for moments such as this
The evening flowers they are free to go
The music of the night we will not miss
-
The promise of tomorrow wait awhile
For all that’s yet in store please close the door
Without a light there is no need for style
And time it is not moving anymore
-
And in this calm I hear a beating heart
It’s in a breeze which has me in arms
It beckons me into some soft abyss
Where there are no distractions from the charms
-
And when again the sun ignites the room
When long ago two lovers met their doom
