These Dreams (poem)
What dreams are these which follow each dark cloud
And casts my bitter doubt across the sky
So gentle stars won’t have to see me cry
As if for some a tear is not allowed
-
Perhaps the rain might help the dreams explain
The pain which lost the reason for its start
The strain of all I knew now torn apart
Refrains like raindrops tears of the insane
-
Then ghastly winds to cover up my screams
Take all my hopes and smash them on the ground
And carry their confusion all around
In all this mess what happened to our dreams
-
Then through my shrouds I glimpsed a ray of sun
Refreshed with dreams a new day had begun
