Why Do We Do The Opposite ?
At anytime we are not far away from all the good in our lives
Somehow we don't see it
We insist on telling others those old worn out stories
Each one of misfortune or blunders we have made
As if they are who we are

They cheered for you

It was like you were following a script

Your excitement could hardly be contained

I was so pleased that other people would just read
A good night sleep that when I woke up I felt I have slept for years
The time we took a walk

We were in no rush

Where you helped someone out
Did a favor for a friend
I love you for all those reasons and many more still to come
Having a phone conversation with my aunt
One I haven't seen in awhile
Hearing her voice made me smile
Sitting next to a little boy bowling
Throwing his first strike
His eyes lighting up
His mother and dad so proud
Watching my niece grow up
Seeing her with all her friends
It doesn't matter where you are
Playing a fun board game with the family
Finding the best buy in a store
Making love because it feels so right
Watching gas prices drop
Finding money in the street
Free money
Yours to claim rightfully so
No chance you will ever know who the real owner is
I like to think someone left it there for me to find
No name just one small reward for doing all the things in my life right
A flower so beautiful shining in the light
Eating my favorite meal
That every bite tastes so delicious
The smell of fresh clothes that came off the clothes line outside
The sound of my car when it starts on a cold wintery day
My cat curled up on my chest when I was laying down watching t.v.
A funny sitcom that I laugh nonstop for the whole time it's on
Listening to my favorite songs
Every line has been heard thousands of times
Bringing back all those incredible happy thoughts
My list goes on and on
Now it is time for you to make your own list

Write it on paper and put it where you can see it every day
To remind you
Life is a series of pleasures
Endless as water in the world
