True Soulmates.

My soulmate touched me
only once,
as we fell upon the
August grass,
her soft blonde hair
caressed my cheek,
while she looked deep in
my eyes,
and whisperd how
she loved my style,
so different from most guys,
her beauty stole
my heated breath
her fingers clasped
so tight in mine,
I longed to bend
beneath her kiss,
then settled for her smile,
she'd trembled at a song
I'd played,
on my Martin guitar,
a tear had graced her cheek
that day,
I knew she was the one,
but time it shed our
chance to bond,
A perfect love
was left undone,
thus I'm alone this
August day,
because I let her get away.
