Under a Full Moon

The moon lit up the dreary night
And cast off from it an eerie light
As creatures lurk in shadows dark
For schemes of evil to embark
While tombstones rise from earth below,
Encryption reflects within its glow
And lifeless trees spread out above,
As zombies roam in search of blood

Innocents exposed for all to see
An easy mark they soon may be
The moon watches from high above
With absence of compassions love
It sees the trap laid for them ahead,
It sees but for them nothing’s said
Vultures wait perched in trees ahead
As the marks encroach on evils web

And who will come to change their fate
From evils trance will they awake?
What force will come and intercede,
And save them from the fate conceived
Alas there is no one there to come,
To evils lair will they succumb
The full moon remains in the cold night sky,
And to them offers ought by nigh ©

Thank you all for stopping by to read. I never expected this type of response, it was just some poetic fun and with Halloween approaching, I thought it might fit. Thanks again.
