Unsustainable
The weeping willow's branches sway
For a reason, one cannot say
Impalpable, unnoticed, unknown
The tension in the air has grown
I like to think it's Zeus in his fury
His tepid temper, his far reaching jealousy
For this he cracks his whip, sending flames adrift upon the tenebrous skies
Hera, his accessory, has brought about this rambunctious dousing of angry cries
For she - a sister, a lover, a wife, The cause for all of Zeus's internal strife
A clap of thunder, the baseline of vexation a symbol of what Zeus thinks of flirtation
There's no tranquility for his enmity
The skies are ready to unleash the malice of this enraged apparition
The weeping willow braces for the emancipation of disapprobation
She cowers in her knowledge, her deep down rooted fear
The beautiful sky she knows is getting ready to be sheared
As jealousy takes over from logic, anger from fear
The culmination of force and acrimony puts many to their knees
The fear Zeus imparts will also make us flee
The weeping willow sways, for reasons one cannot say.
