Tangled in your strands of evil
Camouflaged so no one knows
Spinnerets producing silk
Interlacing my body, mind and soul
Spewing patterns of complex texture
Intricately placed to gain control
Enmeshed in silence thick with rage
Must I stay or can I go
Dangling from above
Trying to loosen myself
From your cocoon of twisted love
The tingly sensation I feel
Knowing eventually that it will bring
Weaving hatred onto me
A spidery, painful, venomous sting
Creeping slowly to break free
The web so complicated, I cannot see
Be strong, take steps
Continue to crawl
I can't get caught
If I just let myself fall
To the lower level where
More land to roam around
Can't get caught in your wicked web
It's safer on the ground.
