Walls of fear

Fear overpowers your mind

and stifles the love in your heart

emotions have left your eyes blind

since your faith decided to part.

you can feel the change in the tides

the breeze shifts and blows in a new day

thoughts and memories you left behind

are tossed to sea and lost in the waves.

You've got to open your eyes

so tears can keep fallin'

don't try to hide

all the pain you're feelin'

toss the mask aside

it's getting you nowhere

let someone inside

without the walls that

keep

you

here.

I really enjoyed reading this. You did a great job at portraying their personality and struggles and I love the two lines

"toss your mask aside

it's getting you nowhere"

Really jumped out at me.
