Why Do We Not Listen ?
Our bodies by far are the most amazing
Yet we spend little time or effort to keep us well
Filling our minds with useless information
Worrying about things that never happen
Stress and frustration are welcome
It is sad but true
We take better care of our cars than our bodies
Doing little as possible and pushing our physical body to its limits
Not eating healthy and lack of proper sleep
Treating exercise as a chore instead of a way to restore
All our parts need to be oiled and greased
We go to the doctors once a year for a required visit
Yet are cars go for an oil change every three thousand miles with a twenty seven check point list
To make sure all things are good under the hood
Now lets see what are list would look like if we were a car
How is your body feeling today? Good,bad,or not sure.
Any aches or pains or cuts or bruises ?
If good then that is an o.k. If not further work is recommended
How is your mind ?
Clear as a bell or a little bit foggy?
Do you find it hard to concentrate and you are easily distracted ?
If so why?
Are there any troubles that constantly bother you?
Are you concerned about the past and the lack of time you have spent knowing yourself ?
If any problems arise don't worry we are here to fix them and let us do the work that you don't have time for

Now we could easily go to each body part
Starting with the head
That is the house that holds your brain

The stomach home of all the food you eat
So you have no record of what food you have consumed
You just fill that empty hole in your belly and then wait untill next time it is empty
You know about eating meats with less fat for protein and those dark green vegetables that you walk by on the grocery shelf
You love those Mcdonlad's burgers and greasy fries
Then you add two apple pies because they are only a dollar
You love soda but you have cut down
A little alcohol no problem
Just to take the edge off
Drinking 8 glasses of water a day you think was an inside joke
Now we could recommend a specialist but we want to save you some money
Use common sense and where your health is concerned it is not always what is quick and easy or what tastes so good and pleases me
Try a yogurt or two
Don't jump off the deep end and buy tofu
Make little changes and then the big ones will come later
Don't just eat celery sticks and carrots
A little less is better
Not two shreds of lettuce and a sliced cucumber and a tomato
Watch the butter and easy on the salad dressing
I love snacks too
But a bowl of ice cream every night just before bed it is not so good
Everything in moderation

If no will power and little desire come back soon not a month and twenty pounds heavier
The waist line has been slowly increasing in size

Lets see lack of oxygen to the brain?
What does that tell you
Don't get too scared
Practice deep breathing exercises and you can improve your overall health
Now we could get nit picky and tell you more things that we know you won't do
Like read more and watch t.v. less...not an option you want to consider
Take a walk every morning and use the gym membership that you think about and pay but don't go
Listen to music to soothe your soul
Not too much sun and what about those headaches and the moody blues
To much work and way to much complaining
Then saving the best for last
Sex yes sex does the body good
Safe sex is understood
Passion and love go together
