Poem: What I could Have?
What I could have!
Don’t you dare
Try telling me about
What I could have
Done.
I had that same
Thought
Many years ago,
When I was
just a child
Waiting for
Santa to come.
But I have
long since
Found out
That I was only
Dreaming!
I had to then
take this long
trek alone,
Finding my way
Back home
back to this
reality into which
I was born.
My brother/sister
All the way
I kept screaming
at the top of
my lungs,
Running up and
Down life’s road,
Searching
for that truth.
My Mom and Dad
They could not
had known any better,
They simply did
The best they can.
It had always been
the custom
on that island.
But I am quite
Amazed at the
state of affairs
When looking at
This, which we
love to call,
Modern man.
That's the very
same bunch
that walks around
each and everyday
With a Humongous
Ballooning
Bank account,
Still the words
that they are
forever saying are
If they could have,
I say, if you could have
You would have!
Well that is the
Same question
We are all
asking you.
You would have
Done what?
That’s exactly
what the Bible
Have been
telling us for
the longest,
The meek would
inherit the earth
and one day
They would also
become the strongest.
For what will it
profit a man
if he gains the
whole world
And suffer the lost
of his own soul?
That's the reason
I had to come
back around again
to launch an attack
on this misery and
misunderstanding
that was me.
Misled long before
I had a chance
to use my own head
To educate myself
become wise
Open my eyes, see
Before life becomes
what it should not be
a surprise.
Written above
in that same Bible
the one that you
once dared to tear
in the book of
Mathew 19:24,
It said:
Again I tell you,
It is easier
for a camel
To go through
the eye of a needle
Than for a
Rich man
to enter the
kingdom of the
Most High God."
No one have to
again ask God?
Why is this so?
All one have to do
Is to be a citizen
Of this earth
Grow up a little
With its inhabitants
And “Bam”
You would know.
that you too came
from the very
same Dirt
Without money
In your pockets,
Name a hospital
One can go
get a Doctor
to see you
For the diseases
that they made.
We don't know
anything about
A.i.D.S
That blood transfusion
was meant to save
And now on my way
those like Ash
Went to that
cold grave.
Without hitting
the lottery jackpot
We are all
cooking the water,
If that much
But usually
there is no food
just an empty pot,
Chances are
You won’t see,
What chances
really are
And what life
is really
suppose to be.
Don’t you
even dare try
telling me?
What I could have!
Bless.
