When All I Do Is Shake Like A Wet Dog

I woke up this morning motivated and inspired and later I turned that into just plain tired

How can that be ?

I looked in the mirror I was smiling about nothing

Soon the phone rang and it was a bill collector leaving a message

My mood changed from good to sad in fifty seconds

I opened the door and to let the sun in

I can feel the warmth and the beautiful light

Then I noticed a bug in the house

Where did that come from ?

Then another and another

I looked now at the screen on the door

My cat had clawed it once more

There was a whole the size of a quarter

I got some duct tape and solved that problem

Now I pulled out some nice clothes and off I went to get dressed

As I was buttoning my shirt I seen a grease stain

I wonder how long I have had it and how I got it

Off with the shirt and I replaced it with another

Feeling exceptionally good , dressed sharp and ready to take on the world

I look into the mirror and see bags under my eyes

This day is not going to well and not at all how I had planned

I closed my eyes and if I was a jeanie I would make it happen

So I could just enjoy the good life again without a problem in the way

If not today then one day real soon

It happens in my mind first then it is only a matter of time

I see it here rhyme after rhyme
