When It Rains I Write More

When the weather turns to rain I find it hard to keep away

My fingers do the typing as I think of an idea I want to say

Thoughts seem to ignite and i don't know if it is when lightning strikes

I think the atmospheric conditions are at an unrest

So is my brain so that is when I put my best writing to the test

I dig through all my emotions and find which ones surface first

Usually I am a pretty positive person and love and honesty and good thoughts interest me

Then again if I have a skelleton in my closet I find a way to let it loose

I will finally let that anger out

Write about a day that I just couldn't believe

Find a time when I was sick as a dog

Someone who drove me crazy or who just got under my skin

A problem I couldn't fix

Someone who I love and miss who has passed on

After all is said and done

I will have found a way back to myself and the joy of finding new hopes

New dreams that rise and pick up steam

So when it rains I am ready to write

When the sunshine comes back out I am focused and defused any problem that sent me for a loop

I am only human and I have many faults I do find

Then again I am resilent and love life with all my zest

So I find a way to write and pound my chest
