My Creative Writing Process

Each day when I rise

I look forward to writing

Wonder what will be?

********

My thoughts are not long

Words spill onto paper-

Interpret later.....

*********

Warm rush over me,

Smile upon this writer's face

When the verse completes.

***********

Time then to decide-

Publish or keep in secret?

Poems tell the truth.

Looking at the "Hub"

Hoping for any comments;

Writing dreams fulfilled.

Creative Poetry- How It Happens

The creative process of writing poetry daily is not a planned thing. It is not like being in Creative Writing Classes in high school when the teacher gives the assignment and it is up to the student to follow protocol. No pressure, no planned topic occurs in this writer's mind when creatively writing. there is always a notepad by the bed to jot down at any time in the night or early morning hours the surge of words tapping at the heart. Even a notepad is carried throughout the day in this writer's purse, so to jot down abbreviated ideas when on the go.

The decision to share the creative writing is another process that this writer goes through. Is it going to impress the readers as much as it impresses the writer? Is it entertaining or does it teach a lesson? Once the decision is made to publish, and the process is done, the anticipation of the writer to see who reads their poetry is like a child waiting for Christmas. If it is not published, then it may be considered like a diary, locked up tight for only its writer to hold secret until the writer's discretion to share.

Time to be bold. There is a writer in all of us who want to be heard. There are many writers in the family of this writer. Could there be a literary gene in our DNA? Written communication is the highest form of intelligence within the human race. There are no limits to what the creative mind of each person can do. The influences of our lives are highly individualistic, but the inner heart can have a voice when communicated creatively. No matter what age anyone is, there can be a poet inside all of us.
