You Don't Know What I Like

You don’t know what I like
Love or hate, I claim neither
Being a contrarian is not art
But it’s not science either
A reactionary mind waits
An active mind reveals
A rebuttal offends
A smile heals

You don’t know what I like
Right or left, I claim neither
I don’t follow Caiphas
Nor do I follow Caesar
A questioning mind asks
A closed mind angers
A pardon relieves
A prayer answers
