How to Recycle Old Magazines
Magazines can be amazing wonderful things! But, too many of them can lead to piles and piles of old magazines that you don't know what to do with! If you're like me, you feel bad about just recycling these magazines because you've paid for them and you can't just bring yourself to throw them away. So, I have compiled a list with different ways you can re-use your magazines.
Donating Your Old Magazines
Donating your old magazines is a great way to get rid of them with allowing others to enjoy them as well. Here are just some places you can donate your old magazines to:
- Donate your magazines to a school. Schools (especially elementary schools) will accept your old magazines to be cut up and used for collage projects. Also, if it's a magazine with news articles, middle and high schools can use them as references in papers (if they aren't outdated.)
- Donate your magazines to offices with waiting rooms. These places will put them in their waiting rooms for people to read while they wait.
- Donate your magazines to a library for others to check out and read.
Re-Use Your Old Magazines
Use your old magazines for packing up breakables or shred them and use them as extra cushioning for packages you ship out.
You can also turn your old magazines into new things. I have found different crafts you can do with your old magazines. Make a purse, gift box, necklace, and more with your old magazines.
