The colour Tangerine Tango PANTONE® 17-1463 has been declared as the colour of the year. Pantone describes it rightly as being a juicy colour that is vivacious and enticing.

This colour is energising and will add the required zing in your home interiors. Teaming it up with muted neutrals by adding funky tangerine tango pillows, various accessories and even as an upholstery for an accent piece of furniture you can create an apt looking boho-chic interior. It can be even used to colour code or highlight a portion or a wall in the room. It will provide an immediate burst of energy in any interiors.

This colour however must not be overused for interior design, keep it subtle and limited to only a highlight wall or upholsteries and a few accessories.

Colour code and combine different colours for the desired look, following colour trends and following what is latest and trendy is cool but when you design and decorate your house share your personality with it. Design a house to look like one and not look very cold or like a hotel room. A house should always speak about the people living in it. So do not design a house design yourself a home that look chic and trendy and reflects your own self.

I have mostly black and white as the color scheme for my living room, carrie. But I do have a leather recliner that is a cross between red and orange (as an accent piece) and if you look at it sideways it might be called Tanerine Tango. So finally, I have brought my decor into the 21st century. Thank you for this edifying information.

Hi Carrie, I So enjoyed your Hub on Colors, as we will be Fixing up a Condo We just bought. i like Neutral Colors, I find them soft and relaxing. I like to add splashes of colors with Art work and accent pieces...Maybe I just don't like to go with "Trends". Thanks for an Informative, as well as Fun, read!

I enjoyed this hub and love color. I picked so many safe neutrals in our house but became bored and am in a color phase so found this helpful.I'm glad lilac made the list although I can't seem to convince my husband to use it:)
