A Bunch of Hubs about Lavender

Updated on February 14, 2012

I don't have a garden currently, but one of the things I'm looking forward to when I do is growing lavender, and then using it around the house and in crafts and gifts. I always imagined it was the kind of thing I would write about on HubPages. But there are lots of Hubs already about different aspects of lavender, and so I've decided instead to collect a "bunch" of lavender here. The criteria for each is that they simply make me look forward to having my own lavender bush collection more! These are hubs about specific aspects of lavender, rather than hubs with multiple suggestions. There are plenty more lavender passions evident in HubPages should you wish to follow your enthusiasm for this powerful purple flower further.

Growing Lavender

Dolores Monet's Hub is about what lavender does need as well as doesn't need to grow well, so a generally useful Hub if you're looking to get your lavender flourishing.

How to Dry Lavender

Hubber Plants and Oils' comprehensive instructions for picking and drying lavender are clear, helpful, and make me look forward to doing the same.

Lavender Desserts

Kathryn Vercillo's Hub is full of the most inspiring recipes for using lavender for cookies and desserts. I'm especially looking forward to trying lavender creme brulée. Mmmm.

Lavender Wands

Susie Writes takes us step by step through making lavender wands. I'd never heard of these but am definitely going to have a go. I'll use them for myself and for gifts too. Susie's photo illustrations are great, and her instructions very clear. A lovely excuse to do pretty things with flowers and ribbons.

Walking Around in a Lavender Cloud

I was intrigued by Anamika S's Hub looking at Lavender-based fragrances for men (with a couple of unisex suggestions too). As I love Lavender, the idea of my man smelling of it as well as my garden is very appealing!
