Beautiful Flowers are Blooming!

Updated on September 25, 2014

Joyful Inspiration Gallery!!

Flowers are one of the most amazing pieces of artwork that God creates for all people! He uses every color imaginable, shapes, styles, sizes, and composition in these beautiful gifts. I am also so impressed with flowers of all sorts that I have a hobby of snapping pictures in my yard and places I go. The creative parts of me have fun designing my pictures, cropping, adding effects, and changing things until I have something fun to place on products at Cafe Press and Zazzle.

After experimenting with some items at these artistic outlets, I created some beautiful things which will become wonderful presents for birthdays, holidays, and everyday use. If you are looking for a flowery gift for yourself, a relative, or friend, I hope you will locate something you enjoy from my shop, Joyful Inspiration Gallery!

Flourishing Flowers!

Flowers are fascinating! It amazes me how they have been created so that all of their tiny parts work so perfectly together. If even one part was not grown, the whole flower would not bloom or reproduce new plants and flowers.

1 ~ Stigma: the part of the flower which collects the pollen with tiny hairs to start germination. It is able to distinguish which pollen is the appropriate one from many that might be near due to wind, bees, or water.

2 ~ Style: the tubes which carry the pollen from the stigma to the ovaries of the flower.

3 ~ Anthers / Stamen: the male part of the flower which contains the pollen until it is released from the pollen sacs into the air or onto insects.

4 ~ Filament: the stem which hold the anthers and stamen.

5 ~ Tepal: the outer parts of the flower better known as two separate parts: the petals or most colorful openings of the flower, and the sepals or outermost openings on the flower which are at times a more greenish color than the petal.

Special Thanks to "Noodle snacks" at Wikipedia for the "Parts of a Lily" Photo.

Crocus come in many colors, but the blues and purples are the ones that speak to me the most! These perennials show their royalty year after year!
