My Personal Review of the Shark Steam Mop Pocket Mop

I could go on for hours about things I rather do than clean. In fact, cleaning is probably my least favorite thing to do in the world. Unfortunately, since the wild creatures in the woods behind my house refuse to do my housework for me, I am forced to clean myself. Since I loathe cleaning so much, I am always looking for tools or gadgets that make my least favorite chores quick and easy to do. As you can imagine, not every product I have ever purchased has been a hit. However, there is one product that I purchased that I would purchase a thousand times again, if I had too, and that is my Shark Steam Mop.

I'm in Love with my Shark Steam Mop

I have two dogs, a huge yard, and a young daughter, which means my floors are usually a hot mess. Seriously, I can mop the floors and hours later, they are covered in cut grass, mud, glitter, or something else my daughter or dogs have dragged in from outside. Thankfully, my Shark Steam Mop makes it easy to clean these messes, big and small, in a cinch.

How the Steam Mop Works

The Shark Steam Mop is so easy to use. When I purchased it about three years ago, it came with a triangle and square attachment head and a few different covers for the mop head. Honestly, I have never used the triangle head and may have even thrown it away, but the square head works great for me. There is a tank on the front of the mop that you fill with water. (I even throw in a pinch of Pine-sol because I love the smell, but don't use too much because it can clog the filter.) Then I throw a mop cover over the square end and plug the steam mop in. After just a minute or so, the mop is ready to use. You will know the mop is ready because you will hear it creating steam and often see steam coming from the bottom of the mop. If the mop isn't steaming, pump the handle a few times and the steam will start rolling out. Once the mop is ready to go, I mop just like I would sweep with a traditional vacuum cleaner and the floors are super shiny. The best part is that it is easy to use, I don't have to roll up my sleeves or worry about busting a sweat when I'm using the Shark Steam Mop. Instead, I simply push the steam mop with minimal effort and the mop gets the job done. In fact, the steam mop is so easy to do that my nine-year-old daughter can do it all on her own.

Shark Steam Mop is a Lazy Mom's Best Friend

If you are a lazy cleaner like me, or just need a fantastic steam mop to keep your house in tip top shape, you will love the Shark Steam Mop. I still have the original mop cover heads that came with the mop and simply throw them in the washing machine after I use them and the mop takes up about as much room as a small vacuum would in my cleaning closet. When you add this steam mop to your cleaning arsenal, you can count on clean floors with minimal effort.

So Easy Your Kids Can Do It

My Shark Steam mop is about 5 years old and still kicking! One of the reasons I still love this beauty today is because it's so easy my daughter can do it. She's 11 but very short statured, which makes some chores that kids her age do difficult. But with the Shark Steam mop, there are no excuses! Plus, she does a really great job.
