LOVE STORY MADE IN HEAVEN
LOVE STORY MADE IN HEAVEN
This is one great love story to remember and behold. It tells about how God rewards those who faithfully wait upon Him, and earnestly seek His will. It tells about how God brings together two praying people set apart by distance. This is a true story of obedience to the will of God. This is a story of Corazon Umali Bulseco , a former Campus Crusade for Christ missionary. It tells how God bless her with the "love of her life."
It was Corazon's 37th birthday June 5, 1995 when she asked God in prayer to reveal His will regarding her lovelife and that she will wait for His answer till her next birthday. Though she had already an agenda in her mind, she said she is open to His answer.
Corazon longs so much to have a family of her own, to be a wife and to be a mother. She had been in a relationship during her earlier years but the relationship did not succeed. Little did she know that in another part of the world there was a guy praying for a lifetime partner too. And he's been praying even before she prayed that prayer. His name is Willie Bulseco, a Filipino engineer working in Japan. He is ten years younger than Corazon.
Willie has been Corazon's ministry partner ever since she joined Philippine Campus Crusade for Christ (PCCC) as a missionary staff. She joined PCCC in 1993 and Willie has been a faithful financial supporter to Corazon's ministry since then. He left for Japan to pursue his career as an electrical engineer in 1991.
When Willie came home for his Christmas break last 1995, Corazon got the "shock of her life." For Willie proposed to her. In her heart, Corazon was questioning God - is this true ? But because she was not sure if Willie is God's answer to her prayers Corazon asked Willie to wait till her "deadline" - her next birthday June 5, 1996 while she seek God about it. Meanwhile they agreed to continue communicating through letters and phone calls.
The succeeding months were exciting. With antennaes up Corazon was on the look out for God's direction. Most of the lessons she received were on obedience and trusting God. According to her honestly she had fears inside and she was struggling. In fact she had other guy in her mind when Willie proposed to her. She has been praying for a certain man for years.
During their staff conference in April, 1996 Corazon cried out as God confirmed His answer - yes it's Willie. She cried because God made her realize that she was not trusting God enough to obey Him. Philippine Campus Crusade for Christ became a "comfortable pot " for her . She finally said "yes" to the will of God.
That June, 1996, Corazon's 38th birthday, Willie came home and made their commitment to God and to each other. It was just like the time they surrendered their lives to God. As God revealed His love , they responded to His love and since then enjoyed their relationship with Him. It was God who initiated this love and as they responded to that love , they now enjoy their relationship to each other. All her emotional attachment to the other man she was praying about was completely gone. Her love for Willie has blossomed.
The following year, May 24, 1997 several days before Corazon's 39th birthday, she and Willie were solemnly joined in a holy covenant of marriage. It was a beautiful garden wedding. Corazon resigned as a staff of PCCC and joined Willie in Japan. God blessed their marriage with a beautiful daughter. They are now enjoying a blissful marriage and a Christian ministry in Japan.
Truly in seeking for our lifetime partner , it should be God's will that we should seek first. For God is the giver of great and beautiful gifts including a wonderful lifetime partner. We should also be willing to wait upon the Lord, obey and trust God once His will is revealed.
