The Love of God
The Love of God
"We know that God loves you, dear brothers and sisters and that He chose you to be His own people."
I Thessalonians 1 :4
As Christians, we have all the reasons to rejoice daily in our life no matter what our circumstances may be. We may be experiencing rejection in our place of work , our community, or our very own home. We may be struggling financially due to meager income , or we may be broken hearted because the prople to whom we gave importance did not reciprocate the love and attention we have given to them or any shattering dilemma.
We have all the reasons to rejoice despite all these ugly circumstances of our life because the love of the Father is in our life. This is indeed the best thing that could ever happen to a person. Not all people in the world in fact experience God's love, we are so privileged to experience His love that brought us salvation.
Why can we say that we experienced God's love ? Since we have received the Gospel of Christ that delivered us from the judgement to come and from the corruption that is in the world. We come to Christ only as the Father draws us to him as it is written in John 6 :44 ; "No one comes to me unless the Father who sent me draws him."
Before coming to Christ, the Father has already loved us and has chosen us to be His own. This love becomes a reality and a fulfillment at the moment we receive JesusChrist into our lives. That's why among the people in the world , the Christians have all the reason to rejoice. Before we chose Christ, God had already chosen us . Before we found the Lord, He already sought us and we are preserved by His grace. And this grace will lead us home.
