bringing a new hamster into your home

Getting a New Hamster

Getting a hamster is very exciting, especially for children. Picking out the hamster you want is pretty tough. There are so many to choose from and they are all so cute! You also need to decide if you want a girl or not. I started with a girl because I knew that i could get another girl without any problems. But if you are planning on only having one hamster it doesn't matter.

Also you should make sure that you do get the gender you want because I did get a mix p one time and found baby hamsters in the cage with my hamsters one day.

But if you are looking to breed your hamsters or just have a litter of babies you should get the girl and boy on the same day so they can get to know each other.

If you already have a hamster and you want to get another you should put them in a newly cleaned cage so one doesn't feel uncomfortable. and this cage should have many hiding places because when they first start sniffing they don't like it very much. But they will get used to each other after awhile.
