What does money mean to you?

• It means immense buying power and immense status symbol.

Do you want to be rich?

• ‘What a question to ask? Of course I want to be rich and just show me the ways’.

If the answer to this question was easy, everyone would be rich and this world would be one big population of very rich people.

Why is it not happening? Why have only a few thousands of people been able to accomplish the richness which you and I find unattainable? The answer is very simple. While we just had wishes, they had the answers. To become rich is a craving almost everyone has, but yearning for it is not enough to make you rich. It is a step by step process and it takes a long time to achieve it. You lose your patience and give up without giving it a tough fight.

What are your cravings?

• You want to have a swanky house.
• You want to have vacations in exotic places.
• You want diamonds, gold and platinum.
• You want the latest and biggest cars.
• You want all the latest gadgets the market can offer you.
• You want people to respect you for your riches.

You need lots and lots of money to have all these. So you think that becoming rich is the only way to fulfill all your inner cravings.

How to become rich?

• You must think big.
• You must have enormous patience.
• You must work hard and smart.
• You must think and act differently.

1. Think big!

When you just want to be rich you will achieve only moderate success. You should always think big if you want to be rich in the true sense of the word. What does thinking big mean? It is a mindset of the successful people. Do you think the rich people achieved success just like that? Their thoughts were always in the large scale and their focus was always on the higher level. When your aim is high, your actions follow suit in accordance to your wish and you inch towards your success with sure steps till you finally achieve it.

2. Be independent!

When you work for a company or business, your income is limited. Your income will be in accordance with the position you hold in the company. If you have the talent and will power to bring out the best in you, you can start your own business. Being a businessman is not an easy joke. Unless you fully concentrate on your business, know the pulse of your customers, have the will to work for long hard hours and the mind set to take stiff competition in your stride, you will not succeed.

3. Budget your money.

You will not know how much money you squander away if you do not budget your income. Do you think that budgeting is not for ordinary folks like you and me? When a country has to budget, when a large company has to budget, how can you think you need not budget your income?

4. Forgo your addiction!

Are you addicted to shopping or other fanciful things in life? Money can drain away if you do not rein your addiction. Fashion trends are always fickle and so you must be very judicious in choosing what is good for you. Go slow when you buy things you do not need immediately. You buy and stock it without using it and in the bargain lose a lot of money.

5. Save your hard earned money.

Let us suppose you are earning one thousand dollars. How much do you spend? If you spend all of your one thousand dollars, you spend money as and when it comes. If you are spending one thousand and one hundred dollars you are squandering your money away. If you spend eight hundred dollars and save two hundred dollars, you know the art of multiplying your money perfectly well.

6. Be ready to take risks.

Do you deposit all your money in savings account and also in schemes provided by your bank? Your money will be safe, but will not see high returns. The best way to save and multiply money is to take a fifty\ fifty chance. Fifty percent of your money should be a safe bet, while the other fifty percent should be a risky bet. You can invest the other fifty percent in stocks, mutual funds and other smart ways.

7. Real estate can be a goldmine.

Investing in real estate is a goldmine which will reap rich benefits like no other means of investment. You can buy lands in far off places and with time those places might develop and it gives returns in multitudes.

8. Keep your eyes open!

Keep your eyes wide open and your ears keyed up when new opportunities knock at the door. It can be in a form of a new business, a new investment or even a better job offer. If you are ready to forge ahead in taking risks and working smart you will make great headway in becoming rich.

9. Learn new things

Learn new things, as age is not a factor in learning. Being a computer savvy can open many pathways to become rich. The advantage is that you can do it at home and in your free time. There are many people who are earning thousands of dollars by the click of the mouse as they know what the people need and they give it to them and fill their pockets with well earned money.

10. Be careful how you spend.

Cut down unnecessary spending and you will be amazed by the amount of money you save. However small the money might be, your persistence in spending less can snowball into pretty good amount eventually.
