Online Passive Income - 5 Exciting Ways to Make Passive Income Online at Home with a Twist

Updated on November 13, 2014

There are more self made millionaire than ever before because of the ability to recreate yourself online. You are as large as you believe you are when you are behind your computer screen. The whole genius of it all is that you can learn and grow without a glass ceiling to stop you; with basic internet skills.

People have put themselves in grave danger to get to America for freedom and now billions are given the opportunity to earn a living and excel in school via the internet. What a beautiful reality. Today, there is literally nothing keeping you back, but yourself.

I believed that I could make money online almost ten years ago and believe me it took money, years of reading, and failing for me to be able to write like this article and pass along the knowledge I gained.

I do make money from several online resources. I even make money for writing other peoples content. I can still pinch myself. I am no where near my goal, but believe it's achievable.

Steps toward Learning How to Make Money Online

There are some steps you will have to take first before being able to make money online; finding the right opportunity that you can enjoy is one of them. In the mean while there is plenty of money making option for you to get your feet wet.

  • Internet access
  • Opportunity
  • Basic internet knowledge

Online Marketing Skills

I don't care what anyone says, from my experience, if you don't know the basics of online marketing and actually practice it, any business you will pursue will (not work) earn you money.

The lack of this knowledge is why tens of thousands always look for the next best money making opportunity is because they were always ill prepared from the very beginning.

Working online is a business and should be treated as such. You must take the time to learn your craft and grow your business.

  1. Learn how to do keyword research. If your articles, websites or blog cannot be found on the internet, your business has not really started. This is called optimization or you may have seen (SEO) Search Engine Optimized.
  2. Learn persuasive skills. Learning the psychology of what triggers people into action is a skill that can be learned.
  3. Learn how to set up a website. Having an online business is serious. You may not have to have your own website in the beginning, but I promise you, one day you will look back and wish you built one. A website is your online Real Estate. The value grows with age, along with the SEO content. Not to mention that you need it for list building.
  4. Learn how to List Build. You will hear that the money is in the list. This is such a true statement and you can procrastinate if you want but a website with a lead generating plug in or form is just neglectful. The people that make the most money are the people that sell their product to their list over and over again after they earned trust with good advice and great content. If you have 500 visitors a day and never capture one, how will you make your big money. Get outside of your closed box and get that capture form up.

5 Ways to Market Your Online Business

  1. YouTube - You Tube videos that are informative and allow you to direct viewers to your websites.
  2. Article marketing - Writing articles and submitting them to submission websites will attract free traffic and drive traffic to your business.
  3. Social network marketing - Joining sites like LinkedIn, Google+ and Facebook will allow you to let people know what you do while tweeting you every move on Twitter.
  4. Writing helpful comments and in forums to bring awareness to you and your business.
  5. Ask.com and similar sites. Answer questions where your business is the answer and leave relevant link.

5 Ways to Make Money Online at Home

There are some ways to make money online that are fun and creative; however, in both cases you must be consistent. Here goes.

1.) Amzon.com Hubpages.com

If you don't already have a Hubpages account get one now. Even if you don't write well, you can pay people online as low as $5 to write an optimized article for you on websites such as Fiverr.com and Elance.com or Guru.com. People write product reviews, "How To" articles and so much more. The more people that click the ads and buy the product, the more money you accumulate from 3 money funnels. You can also tranfer several hub into Kindle eBooks; but don't forget to rewrite to allow them to merge smoothly together.

2.) Fiverr.com

Fiverr is one the best sites for making money online. You can broker out services on Fiverr for more money in your own business. You can offer a service for a fee, go to Fiverr , get it done, then deliver and get paid.

You can work for Fiverr writing articles, making banners, web design, articles, model, voice overs, paint signs, take pictures for people etc. But seriously, I'm serious! If you decide to go this route you must be diligent; after a certain amount of sales, your ability to make more money increases to over $160 per gig.

3.) Elance.com and Guru.com

You can get higher paying jobs on Elance or Guru and hire a seller on Fiverr to complete it and keep the profits.Brokering can be your online job for endless money.

If you already have writing, graphic design, coding or web developing skills you can work for Fiverr, Elance or Guru or all three.

4.) Udemy.com

Udemy is a teaching website. You will get paid a percentage for every person taking your course from playing a guitar to coding a website and so much more. I've even seen comedy training. The also have a free course about "How to Set up an Udemy Training Course".

5.) Google Help Outs

Yes, Google did it again. They are so innovative. This platform allows you to get paid by the minute when you give live help to others; from baking help to technology help and everything else. Just add to the question; I need help with... You may get help for free or pay a small fee. This fee could be yours.

FYI: I used the word Realistic and did not add in Affiliate Marketing. The only reason is because it's just too obvious. You realistically can make unlimited money with affiliate marketing, but in the mean time, you need money now. You can find a company you are passionate about and see if they have an affiliate program you can join. Even Best Buy has an affiliate program through Linkshare.

  • Linkshare
  • Clickbank
  • Commission Junction

Whether affiliate (selling others products) marketing, your own business or article writing, you should be knowledgeable about marketing and persuasive language to quickly gain trust and allow people to make the decision to do business with you.

Being smart about making money online will assure you the monthly and yearly financial growth you've always dreamed of. The two books I listed above " The Adsense Code and the Persuasive IQ will get you around the learning curve fast. If only you could see my first articles years ago.

Making big money doesn't happen over night but taking one step everyday will certainly allow you to reach your goals. If you don't believe you and and think that online money is a scam, you are right. That being said, if you believe you can make a living online, you are right; as long as you are willing to work hard and never give up.

If you are prepared to make even bigger money online from home you have to be prepared to think out of the box, climb out and stay out. Creating other streams of income that can enhance you life is not made by people that don't find a plan and work hard at it. Changing your mindset to believe you can have what you want will certainly encourage you to keep moving forward. If you believe, you can achieve.
