"Dine & Dash" Update

Updated on June 15, 2012

The last article I wrote was about the Big "0" accusing the Republican Party of doing the "Dine & Dash" and left him holding the bill. Of course he failed to mention his $5 trillion (+) contribution to the present tab. These were his memorable words during that fund raiser when he compared Republicans to a person who orders a steak dinner and martini and then, "just as you're sitting down, they leave, and accuse you of running up the tab."

So Obama decided he'd give us all a lesson at how it is done at an event that he had billed as "The Responsible Father's Luncheon."

Sometimes politics can be delicious, especially in the case of Obama, if you just wait, watch and listen patiently for the next couple of days and such is the case with The Dine & Dasher-In-Chief. Looking at Obama's efforts to have more people dependent on the federal government I've always had him as a life long, card carrying member of "The Free Lunch Society." Yes, there is actually such a society.

Setting The Scene...

This Sunday is Father's Day so don't forget your Dad. Also remember not to do the "dine & dash" on your Pop and leave him stuck with the bill. It's supposed to be your treat when you are the host. So the "0" had lunch at Kenny's BBQ with two of the nation's proud service men and a side order of two local barbers. Kenny's is located in DC in case you ever want to eat some good ribs. As this table was chowing down they discussed the merits of fatherhood. What a photo op for the Prez huh?

I love irony. How about you?

The bill for the meal came to $55.58 which is around 10 bucks a plate for some good BBQ with fixings. The bill was for the president and his four "guests," emphasis on guests. When you're a guest you aren't normally on the paying end of the equation so after they ate, hopefully used their napkins and left the bill remained unpaid on the table. Just a small oversight I'm sure.

This may just be more of the same, whether a "staff oversight" or whatever the case may be, with this crowd in the White House. Obama and his bride, Moochelle, are used to all the freebies they can soak up while the soaking's good. It's a mindset. Nothing wrong with putting a little barbecue on the tab then dashing off to the next fund raiser.

Not to worry though folks. Kenny's finally got paid at the end of the business day according to White House staff after the "dine & dash" was duly recorded by the media.

Bon Appetite!

Yes the bills must be paid. There is no free lunch because someone is paying the bill come hell or high water. The responsibility for a bill goes back to the originator of the bill. Obama has accumulated almost $6 trillion dollars on our tab in a mere three (+) years and has still yet to explain how that is to be paid for. Instead he wants to continue to place blame. He said he was going to fix it and hasn't. It seems likely he is going to do the "dine & dash" on the tax payers too.

Surely the irony of that situation doesn't escape him too. I do love irony though...

As Always,

The Frog Prince

Remember In November!
