Don't Follow Me

Don't Follow Me

If others suffer and you refuse to see,

Don't follow me.

If you're comfy and full of glee,

Don't follow me.

.

If you can't turn off your TV,

If you need a fix from your PC,

If you're not yearning to be free,

Don't follow me.

.

If you concern yourself with a pimple,

Stay inside your temple,

Don't follow me,

You're far too simple.

.

If your only concerns,

Are for your welfare,

Stay away,

You foul my air.

.

If you need distractions,

For your football head,

I'm pretty sure,

Your head is dead.

.

If you turn your back,

As the government sells us crack,

Don't follow me,

You're way too whack.

.

If "divide & conquer",

Doesn't bother you,

You're supporting those,

Who turn the screw.

.

If racial slurs,

Don't bother you,

You're a fascist,

I want no part of you.

.

If you can't look me in the eye,

And see the tears and why I cry,

Stay in your vehicle,

Drive on by.

.

If life is slavery,

To Mammon and a check,

Just drive by the wreck,

Pretend you care as you rubberneck.

.

If freedom of speech,

Is to be continually denied,

Then I would rather,

Get off this asinine ride.

.

If all you do is sit and gawk,

As humans are beaten till they can't walk,

Stay away from me,

With your empty talk.

.

All good things come to those who wait?

If you're too timid to participate,

Then you must be satisfied,

With the lies on your plate.

.

Turn away. Act as though you do not see.

Read a newspaper. Turn on the TV.

Bury your head in this political sand.

Leave me be.

Don't follow me.

.

.

Hi Micky, how about a fresh start and concentrate on your fellow hubbers who just want to delight in the written word. There are plenty of us about who prefer creative writing instead of debating politics, religion etc. You have a great sense of humour and a warm heart behind your anger. Having dabbled a little, I have decided to leave politics to the politicians etc. Peace my friend from down under.

I don't want a fresh start.

I want freedom of speech.

I don't rewrite history.

My hubs are cannibalized and fellow hubbers are quite alright with that.

I'm not.

I was a Marine in Vietnam.

A hubber says I never went top Vietnam.

The hubber says I'm homosexual.

Evidently hubbers are okay with this.

Evidently the hubpage owners are fine with this treatment.

Lies are published. They are called. Repeat hubs are published.

But my work - my labor - hours are wasted - and hubpages is okay with that.

My hubs and I have been attacked since I came here. Hubbers are okay with that. I write and write. But if I write about truths that affect the mutation and destruction of our children here and around the world, hubbers are okay with this.

If hubbers cannot be involved, stand for some semblance of fairness - I want the cards played that were dealt.

I will not pretend that THIS HAS NOT HAPPENED.

I am through with hubpage rubberneckers.

You folks keep that writing pablum churning out.

I won't have someone ripping my hubs out with a due process of some sort.

Thanks. I've seen this apathy too much and I'm sick of it. So if you or anyone else don't care to stand for a facsimile of justice - UN-follow.

Perhaps I'll UN-follow folks as they see they have no intention of speaking up and out for fairness. I heard it was "the American way".

I guess it takes a Superman or Superwoman like lisadpreston and jandee, to stand for freedom, justice, and the American way.

I'm going to stand for equality for all. I'm going to stand AS I HAVE SINCE DAY ONE HERE ON HUBPAGES. And since DAY ONE on those forums I have stood against bullies. This should have documentation.

You folks stay busy. Look the other way. But don't ask me to start over.

I am PROUD of everything I have said and stood for.

Read the info.

Act accordingly.

Or- bury your heads in the sand.

If I saw attemptedhumour being beat up - I'd die trying to defend you.

That's me. I'm against covert governments. I'm against bullies. I'm against endless war. I'm against the lawyers who have no checks and balances anywhere - including the courts of America.

A hubber says I'm against everything good in the world.

Hubbers look the other way.

Racial slurs are made. Hubbers look the other way. Freedom of speech is culled and hubbers look the other way.

I don't want to start over.

I see everything just fine.

Thanks - I appreciate your interest. Sorry if things appear vague.

I see you've figured out that "following" has nothing to do with reading my hubs.

I would prefer that you read many hubs before you decide to follow.

I write poetry. I post bicycle rides, videos, and photos.

No "following" until you like what I do or stand for.

I write fun hubs. I write my conscience.

Afraid to follow? Are the NEOs going to get you? Eventually. They always get their man, one way or another.

But first off - I am very afraid - only - of letting the truth down.

If you don't intend to stand - create cute hubs that are charming and usually advertising. Never disrupt the status quo. You might start with my "A Sincere Poem Of Apathy". There's something here for everyone.

I'm for fairness - stuff like that.

Thanks - I appreciate your interest. Sorry if things appear vague.

I apologize if I seem rude. I am just out of gas for the hublife.

Hey Mickey. It aint wrong to have strong feelings about things. People can chose to be zombies and always appear to be politically correct - Yeh .. and they don't "live" anymore. If you are running a business on this page I could understand the need to not have real opinions and become a mindless dimple but I think you are greater than that and I appreciate your opinions. What people think about you is none of your business ;)

I will still follow you. I don't think anyone should be allowed to make racial comments or insult others. I thought that was not allowed but it seems certain people are allowed.

Is that a younger Micky in Vietnam at the top of the poem? He looks more like a school kid than a soldier.

Keep writing if you can.

There is much wrong in this world of ours and we should not close our eyes to it, in fact facing up to life is what we are taught from a young age and you remind me of that fact my friend....

I appreciate you justom -Tom. You have shown me brother hood since I have been here. I'll probably stay here in a small way to comment.'I'm not sure of what I intend to do. I like to be "led" to action. Thank you sir as always.

But this is not a hub for many other hubbers to merely pat my back.

This is a call to many other hubbers to PARTICIPATE.

Friends like justom have already read the Vietnam War hub and understand.

I'm tired of hub-scanners. This is more false-hood.

My true followers will read "The Vietnam War by James Watkins.

They will leave a message to James Watkins that his statement of:

"And as for blacks not being allowed by American society—you've got to be kidding me! Blacks are worshiped far beyond their level of actual achievement in American culture today. Our children are taught by multiculturalism that putting a bone through your nose is equal to putting a man on the moon." by James Watkins

.

is racist or petty or stupid or...

But also the accusation that I'm homosexual (which is actually more free-Masonry) is untrue.

He will be told that some other remarks are inappropriate.

This Vietnam War hub would be read by my friend or follower and they would understand at least 3 outright falsehoods - that I have. They would acknowledge that this Vietnam War hub by James Watkins has a pro right wing slant and a bad left wing slant. I am opposed to this. We don't go to war with ONE PARTY.

This is no big deal.

I'm not thinking much about it - not harshly at this point.

I intend to UNfollow anyone who has not stood for THIS VIETNAM VETERAN'S RIGHT TO FAIR PLAY.

I won't even get busy on this. But methodically I will eventually weed the NONpatriots out. I'll eventually know more of who my "followers" and friends are.

Time is too valuable.

I will not waste my time with those who do not participate in JUSTICE/FAIRNESS.

Just can't happen anymore.

James Watkins said that "accusations of American torture were overly exaggerated". Another lie.

And still FEW HUBBERS seem to GET IT that my hubs ARE UNPUBLISHED.

Patriots act. Believers act. The faithful stand.

Let's get it straight - this ex-Marine isn't playing a club game.

I want pictures, text, and work to load as they are supposed to.

I want hubs to be decided upon - by other means than a secret society with a secret vote while some hubs are obvious frauds to a "crazy broken jarhead that's gone off the beam".

I'm not having friends without action.

Yo Tom brother man - I love you bud. God bless.

Mickee,

One of the most poignant calls to activism I've read (and this could go back to the 60's...) If you must go, than go, I will miss you. I hope there is some way you can leave all that you've written behind. Mr. W and some of his followers really have no idea of what it is they are saying, they read (??or have read to them) a book, or two... and then spout off. Their lives are riddled with fear as most conservatives, and chock full of contradiction. You are at least consistent and no one can doubt your integrity.

Thanks for it all,

Mike

Bless you, rmichaelf. It is easy to follow the crowd and be popular, as we learned in elementary school. Standing up to the bullies and now the powers that be is frightening for most. It takes a certain kind of strength that cannot be learned or even felt, to stand up for what is right, no matter the cost. Losing friends, losing money, losing things, losing a following doesn't matter to the fearless and courageous. Do you know how bright a soul shines that is willing to sacrifice it ALL for truth? When I hear truths spoken by a lone ranger that had the courage to not follow, my heart leaps with that heavenly feeling. When I hear the "followers of this world" speak to promote the lies and hate that deep down they know has to be wrong, but are too cowardly or greedy to back down, it brings me back to the hell of this existence that rules. Janis Joplin sang "FREEDOMS JUST ANOTHER WORD FOR NOTHIN LEFT TO LOSE", and for freedom fighters, they know this line all too well. All has been taken, but what did they really get? Wallow in it, dance in it, shower yourself in it, it is all yours but only because we never wanted it! We gave it to them. They will never get my spit.

Micky I have disagreed with you on very little in this hub world. Though I guess if I agreed with everything you have ever said I would be quite bored with you. You ignored my question BTW. This is not the point however I don't know if you read my comment on another hub, called why I don't write here anymore, or something like this. I don't recall if that is the correct title. if not some one please correct me in case another reader wants to find it. the author is bobbirant if I am not mistaken.

As I said there, this is the reason I never write here any more. They removed my Obama hub but I don't really care it was just an outlet for anger. But This is why I no longer write here. hubpages was a special place I once thought, where special people could meet and talk about ideas that have actual basis in reality. If you recall the situation that drove me to write, American Christians and their High Horse, I learned then that the hub-masters are very one sided and this is a popularity contest much like high school.

Though I will give some credit to Hubpages as I had a magazine editor contact me because of some of my scribbling here, but honestly I can't say 100% sure he read it here as it is published on several sites, and even Freya asked if she could copy it to other sites. So there really is no telling where I got it from.

Also this site has helped me realize that it is not my place to argue for God, and I no longer do this. I say my peace about Him, show the Ayat He has provided and that is all I will say on the topic now. Though I do enjoy a good debate God does not need me to fight His battles unless He specifically asks me to. I learned a lot from you also Micky, if you need to un-follow me or remove me from you list, I would not hold this against you. I respect you very much you are one of the few diamonds in this sea of cubic zirconia, I say this cause most people are fake, and you my dear brother are a lot of things but fake is not one of them.

Americans are blind and complacent they believe with their whole hearts that America's government is right and perfect in all they are and do, and that the US can do no wrong. They ignore all the crimes and kidnappings and murders of our very own citizens. The testing of drugs on civilians and soldiers alike. The children that they had doctors expose to enormous x-rays to test the long term effects of x-ray radiation in high doses. They didn't the parents or get their permission and paid the doctors to keep quiet. America is Hitler's Germany Mark II the only difference is they allow us the guise of freedom and keep the vast majority clueless, stupid, and dumbed down to get away with it. They are not all stupid but they are ignorant and dumb. The evidence is all about them and they just ignore it and say; "Well it wasn't on FOX,CNN, or PMSNBC, ect.ect." Americas have the ridiculous notion that a "free press" means a honest press with no propaganda and government control. Freedom of speech is only free if you say what they though police allow. Look at all these recent riots and the new weapons they deploy on our own citizens. These new sound weapons have long term effect that are very devastating and can take years to show up. It's not illegal to protest, unless you are protesting something they want and need to control us. Like the Fed, this place is ILLEGAL, it states very clearly in the Constitution that a central bank is illegal however what do we have? We could argue days about who is right and who is wrong, our political party system is only there to maintain that illusion I mentioned earlier, they have the same agenda the same goals and the same crimes, they just have different ways to achieve it. Anyways you know all of this and I can go on for weeks and months about this and all I came to say was that I don't post hubs any more because of the NeoconHUBiberals. I do still check my updates and I read hubs from my favorite writers like yourself when I get an email update for writers like yourself. and I will even comment a bit.

But I would also like to say I agree with you and bobbirant 100% on this topic and I will prepare and post a new hub on this very topic to express my disdain for what hubpages has become, I'll try to get it up by this afternoon. Also Micky on a more personal note, any disagreement I have ever had with you, I have never taken personally my friend. I may have misunderstood some of your statements in the past but I have always respected you, and person that has served in the military has my respect until they do something to me personally that is more than minor. Anyways, I will take this time no to say if I have offended you or made you mad and dislike me in any way I am truly sorry and I mean this from my heart my friend. I never had any intentions of doing any such thing if I have. I consider you my brother in many ways, in God, in family, in mind, in spirit, in soul, and in thought. You are one of the good ones Micky if you know more about me you would know this is probably the best comment I could give to another man. Anyways take care my friend, and also please let me know if you mind if I save a copy of this poem? It says a lot more than just about hubpages to me it sung a great song that I really enjoyed it touched my heart and really I was not kidding it is one of the top 5 poems I have ever read, and I'm putting that up there with Rutlard Kipplings "IF"

Take care my brother I know this comment is probably a lot more than you want to read. sorry about that. But you know me when I get started I can't shut up. LOL later man.

I forgot to add my comment on this statement, "James Watkins said that 'accusations of American torture were overly exaggerated'. Another lie"

When I lived in Beaufort South Carolina, I worked for my dad, anyways there was also a retired Marine that worked there. He is one of the most honorable, upstanding, and battle ax of a man I have ever had the pleasure to meet. There are few men like him in this world. Anyways, to my point, and I hope he will forgive me if I make any mistakes however I am sharing what he shared with me.

He was drafted during the Korean War, and he either served 3 tours in Korea and 2 in Vietnam or 2 in Korea and 3 in Vietnam. I guess this information is not so important. He retired as a First Sergeant and in Vietnam he was either a Gunnery or Master Sergeant. He told me quite a funny story however to get to this funny story that even he laughs at, some things had to transpire.

They were returning to their FOB or what ever the Marine calls Forward Operations Base. Anyways they were ambushed and had many casualties, however true to the toughness and resolve of Marines they managed to escape with most of their men and even 2 prisoners. My friend and their CO I think he said was a butter bar, or second lieutenant for you civies, were on the helicopter with the the 2 captured soldiers. And the CO ordered one of the men to hold the lower rank soldier out of the door until the other talked. After a few moments after he did not talk the CO ordered the soldier to throw the man out of the Chopper several hundred feet off the ground, I am not sure of normal or average operating altitude for those birds, anyways the man did throw him out, and grabbed the other one, at this time my friend took action, disarmed the soldiers and officer in the chopper and threatened to shoot the man holding the prisoner if he did not put him back in the chopper. There were 2 or maybe 3 other soldiers in the chopper and 1 other strongly agreed with my friends actions, and together they arrested the two men. This is of course only one example, war will make people do crazy things, however a true man Values all human life no matter the conditions, this was a true sign of his character. He had been through the same and even more than most of those men, and did not forget that even though this man was his enemy, he was still a human after all. Now to the funny part, I think it is deserved after a horrible story.

The man that the CO ordered to throw out the window told his buddies what happened, I am sure some exaggeration was made. However my friend was kind of a hard ass about hard work and physical exercise, so he was already somewhat disliked. Anyways the men decided to get even with him and placed a hand grenade in his desk at the FOB his rank though only a NCO allowed him to have his own room underground with an assistant. Anyways late one night he could not sleep and decided to write a letter home, luckily for him though he noticed the drawer slightly open, shined his flashlight in and noticed the hand grenade. He was able to disarm the trap without arising suspicion from the conspirators. So he detonated the grenade outside of their barracks woke them and pt'ed the hell out of them for a month. I guess its not so funny a story but as I said he laughs at it, and tells the grenade story often, though the Chopper part not so much. He has told me many other stories about such terrible acts as throwing a man our of a helicopter. You don't have to believe me or him, but if you knew the man you would not doubt him.

Yo pintails. I will never unfollow you.

You've stood. You too are frustrated.

I feel that I walk too softly. Hard to believe? Many here want me to take some new meds to slow down and avoid a stroke.

SECRECY is our government. Secrecy is the workplace. People are afraid to speak up.

Fear permeates this world.

I have never posted a hub by Louis Farrakkan. It would seem extreme. Would it not?

But I have not seen one lie from this man. Not one lie have I detected from Louis Farrakkan so here I will start to give him more service. I have not seen one lie from Louis Farrakkan. I have only seen the truth in my studies of Louis Farrakkan.

I have not created a hub to honor Jessie Ventura. But I have not seen one lie. I am not sure I have seen an exaggeration from Mr. Ventura. I have only seen the truth. Life is long. We are not perfect. What we have believed may no longer be true. Situations change. Evidence will change. But I have only seen a true patriot in the honorable Jessie Ventura. and yet have I failed him while people want me to stop attacking lies - period.

Are Americans are asleep at the wheel?

We get frustrated. We start to believe there is no fruit from honesty.

"God grant me the serenity

to accept the things I cannot change;

courage to change the things I can;

and wisdom to know the difference."

Is the serenity prayer an excuse for not trying?

I can't abide, "Medicate the problem. Do things that make you feel good. Relax. Take a vacation from morality. Where are the draft age children?"

There is a certainty: too much time is wasted here on absolute nonsense.

People refuse to read. They scan. They have little time for research. And this life that we say is "free" isn't free nor inexpensive. It is cheap.

Please brother pintails- use my work - as always - as you wish.

Allah bless!

LOL I think we all can use some new meds. Sometimes it seems this is the only way to escape this terrible place. But I believe that if we teach the children, they hopefully teach theirs and we can maybe get this place back to the way it was when america was founded. You know this of course Presidents used to walk down the street and shake your hands, invite random people over for dinner, accept letters and respond to them personally not via dictation or pre-written auto response. I know for security reasons walking down the street may not be a good idea, but by God they can and do have time to get to know some of the people on a personal level. Have dinner with a few, answer some letters. I understand you couldn't read and respond to each one with a personal message, but have people read them, bring the ones that really stand out to answer, maybe have a face to face with these people go visit them at their house like presidents used to. I would do this if I were president. But you know even with security presidents could still have been poisoned and shot or anything back then also, so maybe security isnt an issue. anyways I am way way off topic here, dont really know how taking new medicine got me here, maybe I do need some.

Americans are asleep at the wheel at least most of them anyways. All my loved ones call me cynical, however I simply think I am honest. They nag me about my political affiliations, my only affiliations politically are to the constitution and to American people and those we effect.

I also believe that I walk too softly Micky, I would be at the front of the line to take America back to its foundation, but alas it would take more than just you and myself. I love this nation, it's beauty, it's people, it's majesty, it is a most wonderful place. But politics and politico's have destroyed it.

I have a passionate hatred for the 'Sheepis Americonis', or the common name 'sheeple'. Seriously Micky it is such a deep hatred it causes me to become physically ill.

Micky Dee profile image

I understand. God do I understand. I see hatred staring at me from men who would like my hair sheared. They want my tattoos burned off my limbs. That's when I hope I can turn away and show them my Vietnam Tattoo. Maybe a tiny bit of shame can enter their insanity. And - this is about an outward appearance. Anything that isn't "sanitized" to the "powers" mean you are subversive - regardless of your sacrifice. American "Patriotism" is just another word for nothing left to lose.

Woodrow Wilson and his "brethren" wanted "liberal teachings (actually RULING TEACHINGS) for a small percentage and for the wider population there is only the necessary "mule" education.

Physically ill!

I understand "writing" making you ill.

That's not what writing should be about. It's always a struggle? What's gooing on.

I shouldn't be physically ill when I think of facebook and hubpages. I get physically ill. People SEE it. They see how my work is wasted. Time is irretrievable.

My friends are witness to my being physically ill from hubpages.

Was it youth that allowed me to see that my only alternative was to turn away, watch TV, distract myself, try to make a living, try to get a date, make money, get stuff, make money, distract...

And now - I'm saturated with unNEEDED TRUTH.

I am weighted down as a beast of burden which I am. Saddled with too much weight.

Saddled with too much care.

And I push as only a crazy Vietnam Veteran who has gone over the edge. I must surely be crazy. It is said of me. I agree. I am out of sync with the goings on of Planet America.

We - THE WRITERS HERE _ are treated as fodder.

Everyone will be discredited to THEIR satisfaction.

America has fallen and can't get up.

I'm with You Amigo!

We have to be persistent and keep our spirits up because it's up to us. Everything is up to us and anything is possible. I do mean it.

Awesome poem by the way! I loved it. It makes me feel better about not knowing how to write poetry. I leave that for those like you who do a most amazing job at it. Thank you and cheers!

May Wakan Tanka walk with You.

P.S. I look at that photo and I see innocence. I see determination but I also see inexperience. I thank Wakan Tanka for you surviving that war. Now you have experience. We need you.

And this is what happens when I spend too much time away from hub pages!!!. Still trying to figure out what I missed in the poem..??? Does it have to do with government???

I've lost the plot haven't I?

I was viewing it from like a more individual perspective. If I met friends like the ones you depict in your poem, my response would be the same. Okay that said. It was well written with very valid points. Am going now in search of what I missed! Oh and hoping I might solve the mystery!

Love and peace

Hi Micky,

Fortunate am I to ponder over your beautiful and heartwarming hubs.

Your style of writing is so fresh that it sure will leave some stone UN-turned and people will be forced to look back. Loved it!

Hi Micky,

You might like the recent hub I wrote about Vietnam in the 1960's and my brother's part in it. My other brother also served during the Vietnam war but in the Navy. None of you Vietnam veterans were treated with the respect you deserved. War is hell and always will be!

I think I clicked 'follow' when you were a new hubber and I read one of your first cycling hubs. I hope it is OK with you if I stay as one. Anyway just wanted to say I visited this page and I hope you do feel better soon. I am useless at comments but I do respect the commitment you have for tackling issues.

I hope you are OK and well, I know you put a lot of time and thought into the pages you have here. I just hope that the real world will treat you well and as fairly as you deserve. Plus I hope the squirrel family have not eaten you out of house and home.
