Census of India - Karnataka's Results.
Making sense of census
The State of Affairs.
Karnataka has in one decade increased its population by more than 82 lakh people up from the previous survey from 5.28 crore to 6.1 crore.A preliminary abstract of 2011 census shows a decennial growth rate was 17.7 percent while the state remains the ninth contributor to the 1.21 billion of the country. The IT industry coupled with many other favorable factors of good labor plus other factors like peaceful people and moderate infrastructure added to send smoke signals to other states in the northern part of India and this is one main reason for the population growth of the state of Karnataka.
Bangalore tops the list of 30 states with high population growth and density with 4,381 persons per sq km.Dakshina Kannada tops literacy rate at 88.57 % and next is Bangalore at 87.67 %.then comes Udupi at 86.24 %.Worst is Yadgiri. The meaning of its name is " Yad " in Hind is Memory and " Giri " in Kannada means Mountain. The name seems in appropriate unless the present govt takes steps to see if free mid day meal is given properly in this district by all the private and public schools.I wonder if ISKON is present here wit its " Akshayapatra ".The name it has given to free hot nutritious tasty mid day meal they are giving to hungry children
I livid in a village which had a cluster of 9 villages in Tamil Nadu where there are universities in politics with out a place to sit as every home is a political college and there were more than 500 children aged 7 and 12 going to just 3 schools.I did a sample survey of all the children mostly girls and few boys. They all said they go to school only because free good tasty food is served at lunch hour.
Let's have only Children above age of 7 in all Villages in India.
