Why Me?

Good Morning, Breakfastpoppers. Today is Tuesday, May 13, 2014. Our beloved friend Wasp Tevya is at the breakfast table this morning. He is buried deep in thought this morning. His sighs can be heard around the world. He has asked all of us to join him for breakfast this morning. He has some thoughts about individual responsibility that he would love to share. Tevya is baking delicious French toast for all of us. I'll be serving Irish coffees, so please make your way over to my place.

Louder Please!

These are very sad times for all of us. The Obama Administration has made us acutely aware of all that can go wrong in society when there is a lack of character and morality at the top. The American people have suffered scandal after scandal during the Obama years and there has been precious little accountability. Have you ever stopped to ask yourselves why this is? I have, and my conclusions are not pretty. Lying has become par for the course. The President of the United States stood before us and told us lie after lie, and we yawned and went on with our lives. Some of us raged inside, but we were screaming into a void. The Benghazi fantasy is still with us. We have asked so many questions and got precious little in return. Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, summed up the viewpoint of this administration and its supporters rather succinctly when she said, "What difference at this point, does it make?" Secretary Clinton, is about to find out the difference it makes, because a very determined man is about to take on the establishment. Congressman, Trey Gowdy, is going to lead an investigation into what really happened in Benghazi. If anyone can hold someone's feet to the fire, he can. There are witnesses to this massacre. We need to hear from them. The administration has silenced them. We need to hear what they have to say and promise them that their lives will not be torn to pieces. That's what we do in this country. We punish or isolate those brave individuals who come face to face with evil and want to put an end to it. They "blow the whistle" and we walk away after they have told the truth. That has to end.

Let's Hear the Truth

If Congressman Gowdy manages, and I believe he will, to elicit the truth about the terror attack, it will be a very bad day in Washington. President Obama has held no one accountable for this massacre. Secretary of State Clinton wants to move on. Nancy Pelosi has reduced this terror attack and the quest for the truth to a political ploy. Jay Carney refuses to answer questions and is rude and dismissive when a reporter dares to speak out. The Democratic Party is touting the ugly party line. They are no longer interested in the deaths of four brave Americans who died because they were denied protection. The families of these men deserve answers. The American people deserve answers. I am profoundly sad to realize that so many people simply don't give a damn. They are content to swallow the lies. They have sworn allegiance to a party much like the Nazis did in WW II. When did truth stop being important? When did we learn to hold life so cheaply? How can we turn our backs on these men? If we do turn away from the truth, how can we sleep at night?

America the Beautiful

It's time to remember who we are as a nation and as individuals. If we turn our back on the truth then we are part of the problem. If we turn our backs on people who are willing to step forward and say, enough is enough, then we are part of the problem. If we blindly attach ourselves to a party and abandon our morals, we are part of the problem. When we demand so little of the press that they feel comfortable in their lies, we are part of the problem. When we hear lies springing out of the mouths of those we have elected to serve us, we are part of the problem. It is time to remember what it means to be an American. President Obama has done a great deal of damage to our position in the world, but it is not too late to set the record straight. If we don't change the path our nation is on in the coming elections, then we are the problem. God Bless America!

Tevya's Song

Dear God, you made so many liars

It is a shame to be a liar

But it is also a shame to let them be....
