Noynoy Aquino 15th President of the Philippines

Updated on February 17, 2013

After the very first electronic election in the Philippines, Noynoy (Benigno Simeon Cojuangco Aquino III) won president while Jejomar Binay won vice-president.

The president and vice-president were inaugurated last June 9, 2010. Meanwhile, oath taking will be on June 30, 2010.

Noynoy is the first...

  • Philippine president who won through electronic election
  • Bachelor Philippine president
  • Philippine president whose dad's a national hero and mom's a former president.
  • Philippine president who chose a hotdog sandwich for a meal instead of dining in a restaurant in New York (during his first foreign visit as a president)

***more details soon

Noynoy the new president, so what’s next?

Noynoy’s campaign slogan, “Kung walang corrupt, walang mahirap!” (If there’s no corruption, there’s no poverty) centers his aims. He also became remarkable when he assured he won’t steal…Voters were reminded to choose the less-evil…

Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino, just like any other candidates, has prepared promising recovery plans for the Philippines and its people. But I won’t enumerate them anymore here because the results and actions are what matter.

Some controversies and negatives are still thrown on him. Just like his smoking habits, being an enthusiast of shooting and billiards, and many more. I actually admire him for removing his mask, I mean, it’s the real him. There are smokers and non-smokers, leave it like that.

Noynoy takes a break in his hometown, Tarlac before living to Malacañang Palace. What’s next is not only in his hands but majority depends on the people.

Dear Philippines, move on!

There’s a page in Facebook called “Dear Noynoy” that allows people to post suggestions and messages to the next president. It’s a brilliant idea but Filipinos should realize what lies ahead aren’t on Noynoy’s hand alone. We must support him/ each other to keep moving forward…and not backwards. Noynoy will be the captain of the Philippine ship. Never mind the bad controversies, they are big waves that come and go…unless you want a stop-over…or worse get drowned…

I voted for Gibo, but it’s Noynoy…so move on!
