That's Racist

From the "You Had To Know This Was Coming" desk. Reflecting back to the 2008 "lets get giddy" over the first black (kinda sorta) President and how he wanted to make sure race wasn't going to be a factor in his election we can now turn the clock forward to reality since it was turned there for us by sheer performance, or maybe the lack thereof. I've seen the race card played so many times since Barack H. Obama's election that I've come to expect it. If you don't like Obama's policies it has to be because you're a racist and has nothing to do with his socialist policies and proclivities.

It seems that both the Lames Stream Media (LSM) and the Obama Team can go into a full blown panic when any reputable poll is released that shows "The One" on the ropes. Usually when that happens you know what is going to happen. What am I talking about? What it took the LSM about 5 days to pick up on and then start the spin that what he said was "taken out of context (see below)." That was such an obvious lie that Ajax couldn't scrub that one off.

Context seems to be everything these days when Obama makes a gaffe when the teleprompter isn't on. The media tried to twist that pretzel every which way in order to spin it to mean that Obama was talking about roads and bridges. What he was doing was his slap stick comedy routine, kinda sorta, to ridicule those members of society who don't, haven't, nor probably ever will think the federal government has much to do with their building a successful business. After all, those same roads and bridges also run to failed businesses. Sometimes logic never seems to permeate the left brain as it should.

What I find more than a bit despicable is the Lames Stream Media's playing that card of last resort, commonly called "The Race Card," as the last defense of "The One" sticking his foot in his mouth. They failed miserably at selling the lie so they crown that accomplishment with the even bigger lie. In this case it is, "Hitting Obama With 'You Didn't Build That' Is Racist." How one arrives at such a conclusion, other than by sheer stupidity, is beyond me. He said exactly what he said and if any one listens to the entire segment they realize that Obama sees the government as being the determiner of success for those who sweat and toil to be a success.

But up steps New York Magazine to shout from the roof tops: RACISM! Any criticism of Obama has to be racism at work, especially when every other lie was attempted to deflect the truth of the matter. So out it comes - the much revered LSM race card. It's target this time was an ad that came out shortly after Obama slammed his foot in his mouth. I still find it incredible that any President of this nation would even utter such words about a valued segment of our society. That would be the creators of jobs you're denigrating Barack. So lets watch the ad that Jonathan Chait of the New York Mag is screaming "racism" about. I must be missing something. Seems like normal people expressing their opinion of what was said and how it was said is suddenly clothed in white sheets and burning crosses.

Here's what Jonathan wrote, "The key thing is that Obama is angry, and he’s talking not in his normal voice but in a “black dialect.” This strikes at the core of Obama’s entire political identity: a soft-spoken, reasonable African-American with a Kansas accent. From the moment he stepped onto the national stage, Obama’s deepest political fear was being seen as a “traditional” black politician, one who was demanding redistribution from white America on behalf of his fellow African-Americans."

That short paragraph is too close to race baiting for this writer. Yes Obama obviously was angry. Anger can be an interesting emotion in many people. It has a tendency to bring out what is really on someone's mind. It is indifferent to the color of one's skin when it comes rolling out. The majority of the time it is exactly what that person feels in their very core. So I have to view what Chait wrote in context. It's race baiting and desperation. I expect to see more of it as the campaign progresses but I don't find it particularly entertaining when it occurs. During the past several weeks it has become quite pronounced at times.

We have politicians and the media playing a dangerous race game. The Great Uniter is showing his true hand and it sure ain't pretty. Class warfare in this country has taken great strides under Obama. Is that what one should expect from the President of the United States? Why is it every criticism of Obama or his policies is usually met with "You're a racist?"

I'm just askin...

Racists we are?? How about Nobama's hate of America and all it stands for. Hmmm. Traitor. Wait, you can' be a traitor is you were never a member of those you betray. K. That's not the right word, obviously. Oh, I've got it! Imposter! He's pretending to be qualified for the job. He's pretending to back and support the American people. That is if you're here illegally or you make a living off the government by having babies.

Imposter. Liar. Lamb in a wolf's cloak. I'd better shut up 'fore the posse comes after me.

Voted up, Frog!

You know the race card is out when Obama invites the first "real black president" to serve a key role at the Democrat Convention. God how we pray that Brother Bill can help us in the struggle over white supremacy! Basically, if I use their approach and reasoning, if Obama were a white guy, I would be insanely happy with him....NOT! This guy is a trainwreck from one end of the track to the other. What a shame so many Americans will vote for him. As much as that disturbs me, my practical side says that you get what you asked for and this should be a dooozy! WB

I tell you what a temper can do, it can make someone vote for someone they never would because they so despise (because of his actions!) the only other choice. And I can legally prove I am not racist.

TIts one of those thing where people only identify with there position. Meaning of course when you are from a different cultural background its easy to feel "a certain way when "the race thing" comes up and you're apart of the accused. When things aren't made clear as of why and what before, then questions linger. Its almost like sweeping trash under a rug in hopes that it will mysteriously vanish. To be raciat...well i say we all have our predigious here and there. Though we live in America we have to realize we all have different types of cultures and upbringings. Just because their are a few people within a race that actually reach certain status doesn't resolve issues when a nations culture, traditions and customs are destroyed and when found and desire to enlighten others about it, is labeled as angry and/or resentful also a danger to society or terrorist.

At this point the Democrats and Liberals have cried racism so often, nobody takes it seriously anymore. We all know it's just political and hate mongering spin as standard operating procedure for the Demos and Libs.

It seems to me that this administration is constantly talking about race helped of course by their lackeys in the media. They want to keep racism alive and well in America because it suits their purposes. Up and awesome!

Stu 4 years ago

Oh, how racist we are. We elected Obama President, didn't we (we may be stupid, but not racist)? And what about electing Alan West, Tim Scott, Nikki Haley, Bobby Jindal? The MSM can't in honesty say the TPM is racist. And it would be heresy for the MSM to call the proggies racist. So, if the cons aren't racist, and the left wing isn't racist, who's left? It must be those moderates. Wait a minute. Alot of moderates voted for Obama. I'm getting confused. My post is falling apart. I couldn't have built it myself. The government must have helped me. Too bad. If I did it myself, I might have succeeded. :)

Stu - And now here in Texas we have Ted Cruz. He's a Hispanic so we're screwing this up by the numbers huh? We screwed up when Obama got elected but get fooled once...

Frog - Just heard about Cruz winning his nomination. I was proud to have contributed to his campaign. That was a really tough fight because Dewhurst has alot of money, and Texas has about 20 high cost ad markets. Who's Cruz going up against in November?

Good Morning, Your Highness-

Just yesterday I had a very nice "conversation" with a young black man on Hub Pages. He, too, hates the "race card!" He also hates "African-American!" This English, Irish, Scotch, German American was very pleased to make his acquaintance!

He has two College degrees and can't find a decent job. He's not happy with Obama, but he might vote for him again though he won't be voting for him simply because he's black.

My point? There is hope - and it's not Clinton.

I find it outrageous that this Øbamanation thinks that it is cool to make light of things when he is in the most influential position in the world. He needs to be dead serious in his duties, no excuses for anything.

If it were I, I would never play golf, because there is far to much work to do, in his occupation.

He has failed miserably in his attention to his responsibilities . . .

Dwight nailed it - although we must all get behind Romney because, unfortunately, a vote for Paul won't count. Neither will mine as I live in Western New York State.

I have talked to many Democrats, that do not like what Øbama has been up to, and they still dislike Romney more. They like Ron Paul though, because is is against empire building, I mean war.

The contingency of Ron Paul supporters is massive. It includes our military and our youth. They are going to be a force to contend with in Tampa.

You vote for the lesser of two evils, or the same coin, different sides, or you vote for the best man, and Ron Paul is a seasoned political force that has not changed his stance on anything in 30 years.

Now whom coukld we presume to be stabile, honest and ethical?

I rest my case. . .

Dwight - I understand your fervor but lets temper that with reality. I'm involved in the TPM and have been since it started. We made giant strides in 2010 and looking at the legislative landscape for 2012 we will make even more.

My first choice didn't make it but that is the way politics shakes things out. Straightening this mess of a federal government out is going to take a few, if not more, election cycles. Our President is not supposed to act without Congressional approval but this one doesn't seem to understand that.

This election is the most important one I will ever vote in and I've been voting for 40 years. This isn't the time to cast a third party ballot as a protest. It will be between Romney and Obama so choose your poison closely. As I said previously, this will take some time.

News Flash: Romney now hold a 20% lead in the white vote. All those voters are now racists!!! However, they weren't racist in 2008 when they voted for the Messiah.

The race card is all the Left has now. And it's not working for them. I'm laughing all the way to November.

There are going to be about a million or more Ron Paul supporters in Tampa. If that dont make the GOP sit up and take notice, nothing will, and they deserve to lose such an important election. The GOP is rife with corruption, and its name is money and power.

The TPN sites have kicked me off 2 of there sites, so I am a little bit jaded with them on a political level, although I did go to several meetings up here where I live in Delaware.

If the GOP forces Romney upon the conservative, christian electorate, you can expect big problems, civil disobedience, and maybe armed conflict. Is this what we are asking for? Romney has all kinds of protection in this primary race. Ron Paul does not. What does that say? It says that he is not a threat to any reasonable person. He is ethical, moral and steadfast in his opinions. That is the kind of man I must support to take us out of these times of danger.

I do not know if you this but George Soros and Donald Trump are facing RICO charges. Check it out

The militia is also ready to take action. Go to Americannationalmilita . com and listen to Drake speak on some things. It made me feel very secure in my fight for the freedoms we hold so dear. . .

Paul Subcommittee to Examine Sound Money and Parallel Currencies

Wednesday, August 01, 2012 – by Ron Paul

http://www.thedailybell.com/4140/Paul-Su...

Ron Paul

WASHINGTON, July 31 – Congressman Ron Paul, Chairman of the Domestic Monetary Policy and Technology Subcommittee, announced today that the subcommittee will hold a hearing to examine sound money and parallel currencies.

"The American people have suffered for decades from the declining purchasing power of the dollar. The Federal Reserve has abused its position as the monopolist issuer of currency to enrich Wall Street and impoverish Main Street," stated Chairman Paul. "The Fed can effectively create money out of thin air with impunity, while creators of gold and silver currencies face jail time. This is a travesty. The only way to stabilize the economy is to return to monetary freedom by legalizing Constitutional money. Until the American people are free to choose the money they want to use, and not what the government forces them to use, the economy never will be truly stable and any recovery will be illusory."

The hearing, entitled "Sound Money: Parallel Currencies and the Roadmap to Monetary Freedom," will be held on Thursday, August 2nd, at 10:00 a.m. in room 2128 of the Rayburn House Office Building.

Witnesses scheduled to testify:

· Dr. Richard Ebeling, Professor of Economics, Northwood University

· Nathan Lewis, Principal, Kiku Capital Management LLC, and Author, Gold: The Once and Future Money

· Rob Gray, Executive Director, The American Open Currency Standard

Dwight - Your last comment was deleted due to content. This Hub isn't about Ron Paul nor about his supporters having a soap box. You vote for who you think can win. We'll vote for who can beat Obama.

Ron Paul ran a good race but he's about to retire and move on to Florida. I wish him well.

I am NOT a Racist nor have I ever been, nor do I hope to ever become. Having said that, I am So Tired of the RACE Card being used every time. The Country is in such Turmoil, like we've never seen before. Obama is not the right man for the Presidency, and deep down, he knows it.

The American public is NOT stupid they see the lack of Jobs and leadership in this Country, and will Vote in November, for Romney.

Frog, I agree with your comment. I come from military and my retired USAF fighter pilot father loves Ron Paul. But mathmatically, what you say makes sense. It's going to take a helluva lot of write in votes to have Paul win. Writing him in creates 3 possibles for the presidency. That will, in and of itself, tip the scales to Nobama. I'm sure that's what he's counting on. As you say, we have two declared choices. It's always the lesser of the evils when voting in a political campaign. We have no choice but to throw the odds in Romney's favor.

The government is not a person thus it cannot learn but sometimes I wonder how well we as a people take on the task of learning. One only has to look back to the era of Ross Perot on the conservative side to realize that a candidate that cannot achieve the nomination certainly cannot win the election. But as proven by Perot, he can splinter off enough conservative votes to pull down the actual conservative nominee allowing the election to be won by the liberal side...ala Bill Clinton. The position on taxes did not defeat George Bush Sr. nor did Clintons campaign on the poor economy....in the end it was Larry King's favorite guest....lil ol Ross Perot. WB

Wayne - Thanks for adding that clarity. There are those of us who have actually studied the political process for decades now. I uderstand fervor, so do you, but we also understand how it can be channeled by individuals with good intentions with bad outcomes. What you just cited is a prime example. Ours is a process, be it right or wrong shouldn't be the question at this point. Getting Obama out of The People's House needs to be what this is all about.

The TPM, if one is watching, is process driven and it will take some time to change the way things have been done in Washington for far too long.

Coming this late to the party, I surely don't need to add anything on the discussion of the race card--that's been WELL covered.

So, let me just ADMIRE the perfect sentence:

Ross Perot demolished George H.W. Bush's shot at a second term.

Do NOT vote for Ron Paul if you want to beat Obama. If he wins a second term, we will not recognize this nation in four years. It's already looking a lot like Western European Socialist states.

God help us - but first we much help ourselves. Vote Romney.

Second - the only thing I can conceive of which would be more peculiar than her behavior at the London Games is if she displayed the same at a Winter Games.
