The Great American Mystery: The 2016 Presidential Election

Updated on October 29, 2016

The FBI director, Comey, despite his superiors asking him not to renew the Hillary Clinton email scandal based upon over 10,000 new emails found, does so. This shocked the Clinton campaign who had that they had avoided further scrutiny. Was this just another political move or was Comey having a conflict of conscience and the FBI did not investigate thoroughly enough? After the short announcement from Comey, he left everyone in suspense by saying nothing more! Months ago, he stated Clinton was grossly negligent in her servers and emails but not criminal. Now, we are thinking twice about it. We do know Hillary has lied and disclaimed any wrongdoing which is in conflict of what the FBI said. Other disclosures regarding the Clinton foundation "pay for play", how Hillary has a position based upon who she is talking to, Trump's salacious comments on women, all fill the news cycles. What is a voter to think?

Just when you think one candidate has the election baked in their favor, another shock disrupts it and the polls indicate the lead shrinks to a few percentage points. The mystery extends into why are these two candidates the best America has to offer? Really? Both have a lot of baggage that is questionable. Nobody likes to choose a candidate that is just the "best of the deplorable". Yet, this is what America has this time around. Clinton will do anything to be the first woman president in US history, Trump is not that different, is this just a reality type show challenge to him? What will either do as president? Few think that either will be good for America. Obamacare costs are jumping at least 25% for all, in some cases, over 100%!, just how is this affordable is this? Why does the government force everyone to have healthcare? It should be their choice! Their risk! That is how is was before.

Imagine, Clinton winning and then Comey indicates her between Nov-Jan., before she takes office. What then? Obama is out the door at this point. Trump has lost yet still in the background. If Clinton wins the electoral votes but loses the popular vote or is very close, would there be a movement to make Trump president? Would a election redo occur? How would this work? There are even more questions: What happens if either candidate wins and then assassinated before taking office in January? The division in the country is nearly 50\50 and both sides have devout and some crazy followers.

The drama and mystery will surely continue long after the election.Stay tuned.
