The Two State Solution in Palestine and Prophecy
Secretary of State, John Kerry, gave his last account of the American policy regarding the two-state solution between the Jews and Palestinians. It blamed both sides for the current stalemate for a wide variety of reasons. His speech was blatant truth of why the two-state solution has failed. He explained why the Obama administration allowed the latest U.N. vote that opened the world's nations to condemn Israel for its settlements and legal recourse. He explained that after nearly 50+ years of trying to solve the two-state solution neither side trusts the other. Both Palestine and Israel seemed to tossed out the idea of the two-state solution. This can only mean one thing- war and terror as each tries to control all the disputed territory as theirs.
Donald Trump becomes America's newest leader in mid-January. He has already indicated that the U.S. Embassy will be moved from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. This will signal to the world that it is the capital of Israel and which side the USA is on. Jerusalem is also claimed by the Palestinians as their official capital. This premise of two nations having its capital in the same city is unheard of, it is not possible. Trump has voiced that he will reverse the Obama Mideast policy and become a true friend of Israel with full support.
In the Book of Revelations, in the end times, Jerusalem and Israel will have the focus of the world upon them. It will be a "heavy stone" for the world to burden. It will be a source of continuous terror and strife because it is the focus of Jesus' return. The fringe areas that envelope Israel and Gaza will be a source of constant irritation because the two-state solution is not wanted by either party in their hearts. It will not be a time of peace in that area and it will draw in the world powers (as it has already) in their futile attempts to resolve the issue upon those unwilling to do it. Israel will become more isolated from the world with its friend, America, wavering in its support.
On its face, the two state solution should be easy if the parties are willing. Two states occupying the same area. In a sense, it has existed for years, the Palestinians are in Gaza, some 1.8 million, while Israel is next door, but controls access and economic success of the Palestinians. Both sides continually want more of the same land, encroaching on the other, both want a one-state solution. Both sides continue to blame the other for various reasons for the failed two-state attempt.
The bottom line to this and the future is that neither side trusts the other. Without trust, both sides will abandon any effort to the two-state solution. This will make Israel the world's "heavy stone" because no solution will come from man. Iran's support of terror from Gaza and Lebanon will only exacerbate the two-state solution and reinforce the single state solution.
In the end, 2017 is another sign the End Times are upon us.
