We have been ShamWowed!

ShavWow!! We all wanted it, right?
ShavWow!! We all wanted it, right?

ShamWow!!!

I recently read where Kevin Trudeau, a popular infomercial host and infamous con man, has been found guilty for misleading people into buying his product. He facing 10-ears of federal imprisonment for his actions. Okay, he is not the “ShamWow” guy, but is equally talented in that industry.

Scam artist...uh, I mean Kevin Trudeau.
Scam artist...uh, I mean Kevin Trudeau.
Scam artist...uh...whoops..our POTUS and Kathleen Sebelius, United States Secretary of Health and Human Services
Scam artist...uh...whoops..our POTUS and Kathleen Sebelius, United States Secretary of Health and Human Services

Which leads me to the question

"How is this different” than our President Obama, and his ilk, which intentionally misled millions of Americans to “buy” their product?

I will answer that one for you, there is NO difference. He/They promised that if you like your health care plan you can keep it, if you like your current Doctor, you can keep him/her, but for millions of Americans, we know for a FACT, that’s not true. We were told that the law would make health insurance more affordable. But across the country, Americans are seeing their premiums go up, not down.

We were told it would be under a Trillion Dollars over a ten-year period. The CBO has since stated, those figure have doubled.

Even NOW, they continue to mislead. We were told over a month ago, that the website, Healthcare.gov, that it was safe, secure and open for business. We now know for a fact that isn’t true, either.

It is one of the largest collections of personal information ever assembled but now we have security experts that conveyed serious concerns about flaws in the site that put this personal data at risk and subject users to the threat of identity theft.

It didn’t take long for a jury to find Kevin Trudeau, guilty. I think it would take even LESS time to KNOW for a FACT, that Obama and crew are indeed GUILTY.

Such wonderful leadership skills!!!
Such wonderful leadership skills!!!

Pass The Bill First

Now, let me kind of put this in perspective. Mr. Trudeau is not a trusted individual, was not elected by the citizens, and any logical thinking American can make a common sensical decision to simply turn the channel and not waste their time or money.

In the case of Obama and this ACA Bill, MILLIONS and MILLIONS of Americans KNEW it was a bad thing. Many polls over the last several months, show that the overwhelming majority was not in favor of this bill. Nearly half the voting nation voted against him, and is still paying the price. We was told to had to “pass the bill first, before they knew what all was in it”. They/We are being affected by the intentional misleading of this administration and the architects of this bill.

CBS News Poll - Approval rating 37%
CBS News Poll - Approval rating 37%

We was indeed, WARNED!

We had great patriots like Ted Cruz and Rand Paul; declare that this bill MUST be stopped! Yet, they were demonized by the party who designed this monstrosity. Putting politics in front of doing what is right for Americans.

Now, I have been called a racist for not giving this bill a chance. For being outraged at this POTUS. I am somehow the “bad guy” for criticizing this man and his ilk.

They latest polls show that Obama has an approval rating of 37%. Sadly, it is too late.

We are currently safe from the evils of scam-artist Kevin Trudeau, but we still have to deal with a reckless party and administration for three more years. By the way, the ShamWow actually IS a good product. I like mine, and I WILL keep it.

Do you feel scammed?

I love the way your mind works. Very creative introduction to a truth all of us should be aware of. I'm not into political parties, so I don't get into the Democrat or Republican debate. What I do know for certain is that politicians have their own agenda and I'm not a part of it. I don't believe for a second that the Common Good is part of any political agenda today, and I find that quite sad.

Hi billy!

I appreciate your comments. At one time, I LOVED being in the political debate. It was fun to air out opinions and not get TOO caught up in it all.

I find politics very disturbing these days. But, I got to say what is on my mind.

You are so right, it is so very hard to find an ounce of common good FOR the people, without a political motive.

Thanks again,

Chris

Chris, great to see you writing again. I always enjoy reading what you have to say.

In hindsight, this monster bill should have been stopped at the exact time Pelosi uttered that now famous comment. "We have to pass the bill before we will know what is in it."

Any politician who voted in favor of this bill after hearing this statement should be hung for dereliction of duty. It was at that moment that it became a blind party loyalty thing. I would be all over my elected representative voted for a bill with no idea what was in that bill, I would be all over their butts. That is not what we pay them for.

We will not even know the true extent of the damage that has been done to this country for at least a couple years.

According to the latest polls, 61% now disapprove of Obamacare and 55% want it repealed outright, so how does the Democrat Party continue to justify forcing this hated law on the American people? That is not Democracy. That's tyranny.

How does the Democrat Party continue to justify forcing this hated law on the American people? Haven't you heard? It's not their fault. It's the Republican's fault. By golly if the Republicans hadn't ruined the country before Obama got it he wouldn't have to work so hard at fixing it, in between golf outings and his vacation trips.

Hi Mike!

I too, cannot get passed those words by our "then" Speaker of the House...."We have to pass the bill before we will know what is in it."

It truly amazes me that Pelosi still had a job after such nonsense!

Hello Will!!!

Obama is quoted while speaking to a graduationg class with these words..

"They'll warn that tyranny is always lurking just around the corner. You should reject these voices."

Nothing would make him happier.

Hi Chris,

The worst tyrants are the ones who do it for our own good...whether we like it or not.

I was paraphrasing someone far smarter than me, Chris:

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive."

I love C.S. Lewis, but I LOVE the way you paraphrased it!

It gets right to the point.

I fully agree with you. Obama has done a miserable job and the worst thing to me is, he cannot be trusted. His comments and opinions seem to change with the weather. Glad you wrote this hub as it is spot on.

Guess y'all heard about the Senate passing the "nuclear" option! Senate now has taken away the Republicans ability to block Obama's appointments to the courts. This could be good for Republicans if they win the senate in 2014... and Obama knows it! - that is why I think they made this move because they have a master plan and no intention of ever letting the Republicans gain control in 2014 - they will cancel that election if it even looks like they will lose the senate when it gets close to election time. I don't know the details of the plan but passing the nuclear option is a giveaway that they have no intention of giving up power. Look for all hell to break loose in the next year as they, the Democrats run by the far left, maneuver to take over our country (Bill Ayers could be appointed to a judgeship now!)- I don't know how, maybe marshal law, mass hysteria, war or even domestic mass murder but when you see all the videos of every Democrat during Bush's term (Obma, Biden, Reid and so on) speaking against the nuclear option when the Republicans were in control, saying it would destroy the country, you can't help but wonder why they would do this now unless they KNOW that the Republicans will never be in control again.

I know I've said this before and I even want to poo poo the idea myself...but when I try to make sense of all that is going on I can't come to any other rational conclusion! (other than that these people are a collection of the most absurdly incompetent (but not stupid) people ever assembled in one place -what are the odds of that? - 0? -).

If they keep control after the next election I am moving to Panama or Costa Rica. This country will not be a good place to live.

I have heard of many people who are quite happy living in those countries. I hate to think we would have to endure many more years of the politics of today.

Chris, have you heard about this guy? If you listen to what Bongino (former Secret Service Agent who knows) says about the political narcissism in this administration, the way they live the race card it makes me believe even more that I am right about the future of this country as it is subject to the abuse of power inherent in this administration http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AepEEPrVrW8

Party shmarty, we're being politely screwed! Sorry for being so blunt but in case you can't tell I agree with you 300%. There are a lot of politicians who should be in jail and though I voted for OBama am I sorry and wonder if he's one of them.

Voted up, useful, awesome, and interesting.

Hi, Chris

I most certainly agree with every statement made! Unfortunately, the Presidential JACKASS is still in office. Is there any way we could have a recall vote? They tried with Walker in Wi.

Hi geo,

I would LOVE to see a recall vote.....I think we would see a different result this time around.

At least I hope so....but, some people NEVER learn.
