When A President Rewrites The Law...

Updated on July 11, 2013

But We Haven't And Won't

Ah Yes, Memories...

I remember back in 2009 when we were told that Obamacare was the fix to cure all our health care ills. We were told that they just had to pass this 2,700 page monstrosity of a law so we could "find out what is in it." Then we were going to learn to love it. Socialized medicine in a non-socialist country such as ours never sat well with the majority of us - then or now.

Since that time this administration has been trying to implement the impossible, flying by the seat of their pants, granting waivers and favors and constantly misleading the American public knowing damned well that the whole thing was the biggest smoke and mirrors routine ever passed into law in this nation.

The whole thing wasn't written by rocket scientists and was strictly written on a partisan basis without input from all those we elected to pass laws. Back then it was crafted behind closed doors, often locked, and then shoved down the public's throat because the Democrats said it was good for us and they always know best.

Now as we approach what is supposed to be full implementation time the coming train wreck, which many of us saw coming from the beginning, is getting the band aid approach rather than the full repeal and start over that is needed. This whole law has been stumbling along since its inception. All the goodies were front loaded in an attempt to make it look different through this administration's rose colored view of the world. We are all used to eating the dessert before the rest of the meal right?

When this administration was politically capable of passing a pile of crap that is exactly what Obama engineered. The focus should have been the economy and jobs and it wasn't. It was 2,700 pages of crap passed to engineer 1/7th of this nation's economy. So they knew they were riding a losing pony that they had created themselves. Now Senators like Chuckie Cheese Schumer are pleading with his fellow pick pockets, in Republican garb, to help save the disaster they created. In 2010 the American electorate sent a new House to Washington to repeal the law, not save a disaster that was created in a partisan manner.

So as the train wreck progressed, even some Democrats admitted that is coming recently, Obama is pulling rabbits out of the hat again. Albeit the rabbits are unconstitutional. His actions of late show that he desires to void the US Constitution in order to get his way.

The US Constitution is very straight forward about the role of the President in upholding the laws of this land. He has no choice. If you, even for an instant, believe that Obama was a Professor of Constitutional Law I have a few bridges in Arizona I'll sell you in the desert. Obama does not have the AUTHORITY to rewrite the Affordable Care Act even if it has been tagged with a pet name with his name attached. That was a slam aimed at Obama and not meant to show he owns that law.

Just his very actions about delaying the business mandate are an admission that this whole effort is fundamentally flawed and always has been. One writer likens it to having a law passed that is at extreme odds with the representative government we know is supposed to exist and finding out it isn't compatible with our system. So instead of getting rid of the albatross Obama wants to change (fundamentally?) the system to accommodate Obamacare. That's all about the narcissistic ego attached to Barack Hussein Obama and nothing more.

Obamacare's Design Comes Into Question

Since by all appearances Obamacare is failing then the question must be asked. Was it designed to fail and crush the health insurance industry so the federal government can dictate 1/7th of the US economy and save us from ourselves? Why are the business mandates being illegally delayed while the individual mandates are not? All you anti-business Democrats should now be incensed by such a move.

Was this whole fiasco engineered for failure to usher in the now known to be a failure single payer health care system? Obama was an advocate of that previously and I contend, after watching him for several years now, he has camouflaged his true intentions for this nation. Every time another measure of the bill takes an Obama tumble what is the result? More people are pushed into these so called public exchanges causing costs to rise as they have been and will inevitably continue to be. This was supposed to cost us less, not more. But you believed that too did you?

The exchanges are not ready to go. So when all these people are pushed into a system that has failure written all over it what do you suppose will be shouted next? Think it through while looking at the tyrannical federal government we are experiencing now. The hue and cry from the pick pockets we continue to let run this nation will be that a bigger, more powerful federal bureaucracy is going to be needed and more of our hard earned tax dollars need to be ponied up so that they can flush them down the endless federal drain we call our government. I say enough is quite enough.

So were the consequence of doing such a thing as passing a law in secret by one political party intended or unintended? That's the question to be asking yourself as you watch them move from band aids to duct tape. In 2014 we need to give the wholesale boot to these thieves we think represent us. Obamacare and now illegal immigration bills. Enough is enough.
