Uncertain time
We all have one problem as humans and it is a general problem,this problem knows no color and it comes to us when we least anticipate but the fact is that we as humans gives it the room to toil on us.
The seminar was one of its kind and the topic was;
HOW TO LEAD IN DIFFICULT AND UNCERTAIN TIME.
Everybody had it going and the speaker was highly inspirational but of all he said,he ended it with YOU ARE SPECIAL.
How are you special?
If life turns you up and down
If things are not going on well for you
If loved ones forsake you
If your marriage is about to break
If the one you love abandon you
What makes you special
The past won't help you to begin a new lead and if you keep holding onto your failures, you will never create chances for success,he went further to say that;
The world doesn't care about you once you loose your value.
Therefore you are simply special he said,You are special.
I began to analyze all he said and found reasons to believe in everything he said,yes he is right You are special.
It was an emergency which i had to attend to,with no preparation and a major topic to speak on, i walked into the complex and found myself in the mist of 100 children,i have to teach them and they all look forward to what i have to deliver,then i remembered what the speaker said the other day.
Until you loose your value.
I then brought out a $50 note and asked my guests,
WHO WOULD LIKE THIS 50 DOLLAR NOTE?...Hands began to go up!
I AM GOING TO GIVE THIS TO ONE OF YOU BUT LET ME DO THIS FIRST.
I crumbled the $50 note and asked once more...WHO STILL WANT THIS BILL?
Hands still in the air...
What if i do this then?
I now dropped it on the floor and began to grind it with my shoe,by now the bill looked well crumbled and very dirty.I knew within me that even a beggar won't be very happy if given such a bill then i asked my audience once more,
Now, who still want this bill?
Not to my surprise if i have to be honest...
Hands went up yet again in the air.
So what makes you special?
Just like the speaker said Until you loose your value.
You see no matter what i did to this bill,you guys still wanted it so why do you want it?
BECAUSE IT DID NOT LOOSE ITS VALUE.
It is still 50 DOLLAR BILL...
You see, life is full of ups and downs and i always say that the ups and downs we face helps us to balance our lives,without life's challenges,we will be no where and will never understand how special we are.Life sometimes seem to be a problem to most of us and this usually occur when it begin to crumble us,grinding us.Sometimes we are dropped on the floor by the choices we make and or circumstances that come our way.
We begin to feel worthless when life treats us unfair,we begin to curse when our dreams are not forth coming,when our relationships are in jeopardy but you know the fact is this,
No matter what happens
No matter how dirty you are
No matter how hard it seem
No matter the ups and downs
No matter what people think of us
We will never loose our VALUE.
That is why we are special
That is why you are special
Do not care about your old defeat
Just take courage and move ahead
Because you are priceless and still
HAVE YOUR VALUE.
That is why no matter what happens today or tomorrow,
You are special.
