I was a regular party animal for many years but discovered my “inner introvert” when I turned 60 last year. Since then I have spent a lot of time by myself, writing on topics of my choice. (I earned my living for many years writing stuff for other people.) I find HubPages to be an ideal outlet for writing because it gives me the opportunity to interact with kindred souls.
Aside from writing, I do a bit of counseling (I went back to school in midlife to train as a counseling psychologist) and a whole lot of reading. I have a lovely granddaughter, Meggy, whom you can see in the picture with me. She is probably the only person I would want to spend more time with, but she is a plane ride away from where I live.
I have one husband (a university administrator), one son (an entrepreneur), one daughter-in-law, one grandchild, no pets. Most members of my family of origin are gone except for two sisters. I can’t swim or drive a car but I am a whiz at word games.
I take great pride in being a Filipina and one of my dreams in life is to be able to visit all 7107 islands of my country.
