  I have been married to my wife for 34 years.  We have  six children, a biological son and five adopted daughters.  Our son and his wife also adopted two children who were already siblings, a little boy and a girl, so my wife and I are now proud grandparents as well! We adopted our first daughter after I retired from the United States Marine Corps. Our son was 15 years old when we adopted our first daughter.

  This is my first attempt at writing, but it is something I have wanted to do for quite some time.  I also enjoy reading and studying the Bible, history, woodworking, painting and reading other blogs.
