I am the proud father of a beautiful, energetic 10-month-old boy at the time of this profile writing. With the unfortunate dissolution of my marriage, I am learning first-hand what Dads are up against in today's courts and the stigmas placed on us by the normal society outlook (i.e.-- Am I a deadbeat dad? Just a weekend dad? etc.). My main focus in life right now is to make sure that I am getting as much time with my son as possible so that I can help raise a healthy, productive member of society. Most of my hubs will be dealing with becoming a single dad and the roller coaster that it is. Hopefully, it will help both men AND women understand the importance that fathers have in the lives of their children. What's truly best for our kids? Unless the father or mother is a hazard to the child, then what's best is both parents having equal time.
