Dear Catherine:
You were introduced to my E-mail via Hub pages. I enjoyed reading your Hub. I have been in the "I am always right" and "you are always wrong" situation. Was there for 10 frustrating years. After years and years of listening to the rantings of a individual who didn't even have the capacity to hear beyond the sound of his own voice, I tried to just calm waters and give in. This of course was to shut him up so I didn't have to go through a 4 hour lecture on any subject that I brought up, which of course he always had the opposite oppinion. What was really irritating was the fact that he was not well versed on the topic I would mention, and still he would say I was wrong. I found that the more I would agree so he would shut up, or calm down, He began to think that he was always right. He would tell his friends when he would argue with them "Ask her,... she knows I'm always right. Needless to say after 3 more years of that I gave up. There was no way to get a word in. The therapist that I talked him in to going to was so frustrated after the first session that he told me that he could not deal with his attitude. But, if you do not have a "Super Ass" on your hands that advise might work. I love your writings hope to read more. Amber K.
