Dr. Gordon on HubPages

Dr. Gordon is an Assistant Professor at DeVry University. Dr. Gordon has held adjunct teaching positions at Temple University and Chestnut Hill College, as well as a research position at Drexel University.  Prior to obtaining her Doctorate in Clinical Psycholgy, Dr. Gordon had been a registered Nurse for over 28 years.

Dr. Gordon has a passion for enriching the lives of families, and a deep respect and love for young people. She has a rich background of multicultural exposure in her personal and professional experience. This experience has translated into a delight and enthusiasm for working with people from diverse cultural, socio-economic, and religious groups.

Dr. Gordon has served as Family Ministries Coordinator for the West Philadelphia Seventh-day Adventist Church since 1995. In this capacity she has coordinated and facilitated an annual marriage enrichment weekend and family retreats. She has presented numerous seminars, workshops, sermons, devotionals, and facilitated support groups in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Florida.

Dr. Gordon has embraced a personal mission to enrich and support the emotional and spiritual health and development of individuals and families. She candidly admits to a Christian philosophy that guides her work and values. Gordon Seminars & Services is the most recent outgrowth of that mission.

Dr. Gordon lives with her husband and two sons in Downingtown, Pennsylvania. She enjoys gardening, singing, public speaking, writing, reading, shopping, music, amateur chess, and being with her family and friends. Dr. Gordon's most treasured titles are wife, mother, and friend. Her most urgent goals are to develop a legacy of committed service and then to see God’s face in peace.
