My friends call me "The Queen of Useless Information;" if you need any information about something that doesn't matter, ask me. I absorb strange facts and trivia. I am not sure how or why I acquired this unusual skill, but I am proud of it.

I earned two B.A.s, one in English and the other in Public Relations. I went back to school to pick up a few credits so I could learn how to write and direct fund raising and educational videos. I got a little carried away; I would have to count up my credits, but I think I have an A.A. degree in Film and Television. I enjoyed my studies, so I kept going. One of my dreams was to be the perpetual student and I think I am living that.

I am a stay-at-home homeschooling mom of a preschooler. It sounds strange to say "preschooler" because I thought it was last week when I brought her home from the hospital. I love homeschooling. For Christmas, she said she wanted to "learn to read all my books by myself." She is only three, yet she is doing a lot of things being taught in kindergarten. She loves letters and numbers.

I love politics. I am a Matthew 25 Republican. To be politically correct, I am a values voters. Please don't call me that; I prefer "Matthew 25 Republican." I did volunteer work for the Mike Huckabee for President campaign. I made phone calls all over the country and wrote a comment on every blog I could find.

Before becoming a wife and mother, I worked for an animal shelter. I was the Public Relations and Volunteer Coordinator. That is a fancy way of saying I did all the P.R., fund raising, event planning, and community outreach, including education. I loved that job. Animals are a passion of mine. I also worked for a pro-life foundation doing pretty much the same thing.

Now, I own a home-based business, doing freelance work in my non-existent spare time. I write copy; create and write brochures, newsletters, mass mailings, etc.; event planning, including weddings, and I write resumes. Depending upon the client, I sometimes do the work of a career coach. I teach a creative writing seminars in the community. My career and business always takes a backseat to my family, my volunteer work and, usually, the writing I do for the pure joy of expressing myself.

If you find yourself in need of someone with my experience and qualifications, you may contact me at dreamreleasers@yahoo.com.

I volunteer at domestic violence safe houses, homeless shelters, and animal shelters when I can. I do a little one on one counseling to help with personal issues. I also do career coaching with the clients. Helping them find jobs and watching them excel is a thrill for me. I love writing resumes for the clients. It is rewarding to see how the lives of people who have so much "junk" to overcome succeed. I hope I have helped them.

I hope to use my websites to improve my skills and tuck away a little useful information, for a change. I always want my writing here to be a form of ministry for Christ. I believe God has given us all talents to use for Him and writing one He has blessed me with.

I love everything Sylvia Plath has written. I am saddened to know she died so young and under such circumstances. The loss of potential is horrific tragedy that occurs too often in society. I want to live up to and surpass my potential, make sure my daughter does the same, and help others along the way fulfill theirs.

I am a boring homebody. If I'm not doing something with my family or my freelance work, I am at the computer - writing the thoughts in my head. I have several projects I am currently working on -a few short stories, a novel (maybe?), a couple of scripts, and my personal journal (of course!). I am always creating new characters and figuring out what piece that will fit into.

Here are a few of my favorite sites.  Please check them out!

My passion is ...my family (including my "non-human family members) and my writing.

I know too much about ...useless information.

My parents always told me ...second place is the first to lose.

My childhood ambition ...was to be a writer, wife, mother, and someone to be proud of.

My favorite memory ...is every moment involving my daughter and my grandfather.

Why I write ...is because it isn't what I do; it is who I am. I want to leave a written a legacy, such as it, for my daughter, future grandchildren, and for all that follows them. I also write because I consider it to be a ministry; I can touch a life and share the Gospel.

My first job ...was tutoring college students in English composition.

My best moment ...is any moment involving my daughter and my grandfather.

My inspiration ...is my daughter; I want to show her she can do anything. My grandfather is also my inspiration; he believed that I could do anything and taught me to believe it as well.
