Andre Gray, disciple of the late Bhakti-Tirtha Swami Maharaja (1950-2005) and Founder of Gita Yoga, lived in India from the age of 11 where he attended a traditional Vedic Gurukula school for the following 15 years. In addition to secular studies he learned to read and write Sanskrit, became fluent in the local language and completed in-depth studies and courses in Hindu philosophy and culture.


Andre received diksa initiation in 1990 at the age of 17 and received the name Maha Vishnu. He is an ordained Vaisnava priest in the authorized spiritual lineage of the Brahma-Madhav-Gaudiya Sampradaya. Of the four Sampradayas this Sampradaya includes illustrious personalities as Veda Vyasa (circa. 3000BC), the sage credited with compiling the Vedic texts; Madhvacharya (1238-1317) who was famous for his refutation of Shankaracharya’s Advaitavada philosophy and A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Maharaja (1896-1977).
After successfully completing his teaching obligations in India he moved to Norway where he lived for four years and worked as Asst. Production Manager for a local pharmaceutical company. It was at this time he developed his signature Gita-Yoga courses and began training and practicing as a Life Coach.

Upon his return to the United States Andre served as the Director of the Dharma Academy in Boston and later as Vice President of ISKCON of New England.

As a highly successful spiritual life coach, Andre excels in helping and motivating others to realize and operate at their full potential. A father of two and web-designer,  he has recently completed his move to Chicago where he continues to help others through his Mentoring, seminar presentations and writings.
