I'm a jack of all trades, master of a few.  I started my education in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, but realized I couldn't see myself doing that everyday.  I decided to chase my true love...food. I went to cooking school and was a professional Chef for many, many years.  I've done it all.  Casual, family, hotels, chocolate company, breadmaker, 4-star, fine dining, really fine dining, free standing, large corporations, etc. I've cooked for athletes and their pets, rock stars, politicians and world leaders, and countless people that just enjoy good food. Simple food done well. Three ingredient cuisine is the best.

I left the restaurant business so that I could return to school.  I couldn't do the Chef-thing for 90 hours a week and go to school at the same time.  I completely changed careers and worked (still work for) a finance company.  I did earn my second degree in Information Technology.

I miss cooking. I miss the drug and alcohol fueled insanity, debauchery, and simply hard to beleive things that happen in a professional kitchen everyday. However, leaving was the right thing to do. With an extra 50 hours a week I managed to married the woman I stalked for 7 years. We have two smart and beautiful little girls, and all is well.

I am still hardcore, asking questions, voicing my opinions, trying to be a good person, trying to raise my kids right, rebelling when justified in my mind, and trying to make an honest buck.
