I'm a happily married step-dad to 3 and dad to 1. I love being a dad (most of the time). My wife and I have survived hell together and are finally just now trying to get back to the normal newly wed stuff.

I love martial arts, designing and building furniture, mixed media fine art, organized airsoft/paintball, backpacking, traveling, and economic based games.

I know it sounds crazy. But, I also love personal finance. I've found my life's passion and it's helping people through financial crisis.

There's a lot of conflicting opinions by genuinely brilliant people in personal finance. Some financial experts have conflicting interests that allow them to profit from the advice they give. But, that doesn't necessarily make them wrong. On the other side, there are people who pride themselves on fighting a financial system that takes advantage of the financially illiterate. Which, of course, doesn't always mean they're right. My personal approach is to take their opinions seriously, but focus on the numbers. Most financial opinions can be tested by common sense and painstakingly boring math.

If you have a constructive criticism, I appreciate any helpful efforts to set me straight. That goes double for editing. =)
