Jeff May has a degree in English and Psychology, a Masters in Secondary Education, and a Writer’s Certificate from the University of Missouri. Jeff has won short fiction awards from Writer’s Digest, the St. Louis Writers Guild, where he is a Member of Distinction, and first place for short fiction from the Jefferson County Writers Society. He was a featured writer in the St. Louis based magazine, The Written Word, and has published education and mountain climbing articles, technical writing guides, short stories and poems. In addition, he wrote and performed a short story for Washington University Radio and was a consultant to a St. Louis theatre company. Most recently, his stories have appeared in Libbon, a UK short story magazine, The Rambler, where his ceative nonfiction has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize, and poems in Untamed Ink. His novel Where the River Splits was favorably reviewed in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, and is available from Libros International. He teaches writing and fly-fishing in and around St. Louis, Missouri. So far he has survived mountain, river, and underground adventures, twenty years of marriage and two children.
