Hello everyone
I live in the UK, in the The Lake District which is a beautiful part of Cumbria, having forests, lakes and mountains and an abundance of wildlife, flora and fauna – an idyllic place to live (if you can forget the rain!).
A few years ago I gave up my high powered/stress job as a hospitality professional, and at the same time re-married and moved to rural Cumbria – a whole change of life style at once. It was no longer just me and Dougie (my westie dog) but a new husband, a new home and no job to go to!
This change of life style gave me time to do the things I really enjoy like walking on the beach and discovering the area around us - my thoughtful husband bought me a bike which brought about a new hobby – biking with my dog, which keeps me fit and my dog well exercised – you can read all about this clever Walkydog product here – again this was a gift to me from my husband, as he noticed I was reluctant to go off on the bike leaving Dougie at home!
We regularly hire a boat for a few days and go out on one of the lakes here, which is fun, packing up food, a portable barbecue and a few home comforts – Dougie comes too all kitted out in his little Outward Hound dog life jacket!
