Hulloo! I am the wife of a wonderful man and the mommy of five beautiful brats. But my first love was the written word. I learned to read at the age of two, began writing at four, and won my first award for writing [and had my story published] when I was eight. Needless to say, when I learned that I could make a few pennies every here-and-there for my writing, I jumped at the chance, and here I am! Some of my hubs are papers that I've handed in for grades, some are old work, and some are just whatever's on my mind at the moment.

Because I've had a variety of life experiences, there will likely be a motley collection of genre pieces here. I have lived on the mission field, overcome several "fatal" illness, given birth five times, miscarried twice, survived six years in an abusive marriage, fallen in love with my best friend, gone back to school after many years off, lost my faith, gotten it back again, traveled through europe and latin america, struggled with depression, weight issues and chronic pain, worked on pre-Katrina Bourbon Street, and am currently a stay-at-home mom to a handful of kids under 7 years of age. So my interests and knowledge are pretty diverse - and can only get more so, as I have yet to approach the ripe young age of 30.
