Find knowlege in realizing that you are an intelligent being; find wisdom in admitting when you are not being intelligent.

It is my belief that one is never too old to discover hidden talents, it is never too late to right any wrongs and it is never too late to seek who you truly are as an individual. Your future is today as tomorrow was never a promise; learn, love, give, enjoy as much as possible. Be true to yourself and to others and know that your existence on this vast, diverse earth is, indeed, for a reason and that you are needed. My mind tends to lean toward the philosophical rather than the empirical practices of living. The greatest lesson that I have ever learned was not taught to me in school, instead it was a lesson that I learned in life and that lesson is that it is not always about me; a very precious piece of knowledge indeed.

I am a senior who will graduate in 2009 with a double degree in Psychology and Sociology. I am a mother of five and a grandmother of six with one on the way. My eldest son died so tragically in a motorcyle accident in January of this year--he was only 23 years old. How can we survive these heartwrenching, soul-stealing moments in our lives? I receive some release and relief through my writing--pouring my heart out through words.

Somehow, I still believe that those fleeting moments where we experience pure joy through our children, our friends and our family make it worth continuing until we take our last breath upon this revolving orb of ambiguity.
